This is an important issue that should be discussed among the GM/GS team sooner rather than later, with some sort of change being implemented for improvements.

A major issue is when current GameSages that go inactive from either the game/forum community. This cause typically:

-Applies more pressure to the active GameSages and community
By having 9 elected GameSages (the accuracy of the current list may be off), it is clear that the GM's have intended this community to be run by 9 active players. Here is a list of the current GameSages, based on what's shown in Yuri's Complete thread.

Since my started playing again, I myself have noticed names on this list that appear to be inactive, due to the lack of presence that I among others in the community have noticed. So, if this were the case, a community in the responsibility of 9 is then in the responsibility of 6. And this may (as it has shown in the past) or may not last for a long period of time. This is most unfair to the current GS' as they have to bear more responsibility for the community while earning the same wage as the inactive GS'; and also unfair to the community as they have less GameSages available should they want to access one for help. Granted, there are many learning resources available for players seeking game knowledge, however players looking specifically for a GameSage should know they have ones available and nearby.

Complicates the following GameSage election process
In DWO's history, there have been GameSage elections made on:
December 2010
April 2011
July 2011
March 2012

It went from being consistent to being more rare. I think it would be a win/win for both the GM's and community if GS' were replaced as needed, rather than waiting until the need is so glaring that it needs to be prioritized. This keeps the proper amount of active help available for both the GM's and the community for a smoother running community, with less inactivity on the payroll. This also means more events, more prizes, and good potential for higher customer satisfaction grades. Whether their 'most recent sign-in' and/or 'most recent post' are tracked, etc, or if tickets/rumors start circulating about inactivity among GS', it should be addressed and maintained from there.

And what would REALLY be epic is if we could revisit the time .... GM's played the game!

Inactive GS's need to be replaced. A certian amount of activity, in-game and in the forums, should not only be expected but required to hold the position of GameSage.
As I look at the list of current GS's I only reconize one or two names from having posted on the formus. I have NEVER seen a GS in-game. I'm not sure what faction some of these people are in.
With nine names on the list shouldn't this mean there's three GS's per faction?

GSs know the games not really worth playing anymore.

Say we get reelections. Who would be better? I can't think of a single person who wouldn't be any better than the current team.

guess what else, what can a GS do? help answer questions and give suggestions that koei will never listen to. It's not that important of an issue

i agree with panderp on the fact that knowledge-wise, there is none better than the current GS team. However,

LancelotLoire is NOT a GS, he was taken out the same time as LionDM.


my only exceptions is two specific players who ive noticed to disappear lately.

That being Iyasu7, who ive defended before.
and TeraRainbows, although I'm not sure their role in it in the first place. If someone would post their works during their time as GS ill probably revoke what i say now.


Reason why I choose these two is because of their activity range. It is my belief that Iyasu7, being of the same guild as Pan2011, and i havent seen any in-game or forum activity from them, so i would have to say he is Useless at this point...

as for the others (imo, aka what it seems to be in my point of view)
Backslash22: knows their way around the ToS, seem to know how AGE runs more, compared to other Sages. Gives straight-to-the-point, un-opinionated answers.
Pan2011: Really no question here, knows alot, has proven themselves in the past, active enough to be worthwhile.
IvanKaliayev: though not quite sure as to his role his activeness stops anything bad that i could say about him
Regretness: Have not seen them active for a while but now see resurgence. Couldnt tell you what role they have done, since i only started thinking about this not too long ago.
risorial: hasnt seen vs Wu, but has been active on the forums, so i would have to make the assumption they are on the game as well.
jadenyuji84: imo the active GS hands down. Knows what they are talking about. Has done and continues to do contests. and seems not to have any problems with character.

Even with activeness of a non-gs person, do you really believe you are well distributed, and capable enough to be a GS better than those already selected? I'd rather keep the ones we have, deny halfwit applicants, deny formers who have already proven themselves unworthy.

it is a disgrace that one would think they need that sweet GS title to do good. Matter of fact,,, if one only changes just to become a GS, or attempt to become a GS, they should be trolled and ridiculed for their backwardness.

GS's are volunteers... servants to the community, and mouthpieces for their needs. If one cant do that all the time, then they do not deserve it.
