What is X?




6/2(1+2)= X
or word
Six dived by two parentheses one plus two parentheses equal x.

6/ 2(1+2)= x (3)2=6 6/6 =1 x=1
Order of operations. I guess any possible confusion comes from 6/2 instead of 6/ 2(1+2)

6/2*3=x

6/2 = 3*3 = 9

order of operation division and multiplication from left to right..

order of operations is BIMDAS

B= Brackets = (1+2) = (3)
M= Multiplication = 2(3)= 6
D= Division = 6/6

therefore X=6/6 =1

exponents
then multiplication and division from left to right
then addition and subtraction from left to right
