Folder appeared with the xmas patch.
Probably used to prevent injecting or other hacks, but idk.

I had a recent problem were my PC started to stagger like lag i did a total indepth every single file scan with AVG and it found an ijji AVA .dll file that was a generic trojan and was causing quite alot of problems, once deleted my PC was back to normal.

Signature deleted due to shaiya sucking so bad

APex is a security/hack detection software. It was added in one of the recent patches, and is legitimate.

if it was added in one of the recent patches, how come not everyone has it then? my game is completely up to date, but that folder and those files are not there.

thoughts?

Seems kinda useless if they can be deleted from the computer?

umm
I reinstalled shaiya before superman replied, and those sys files didn't get installed.
Seems a little unfair that you can get rid of them like this, and that some people didn't get them installed in the first place.
Should i even bother trying to get them back?

all I can say is, I had that folder before the xmas patch, but just in one of my 2 comps

I had to uninstall the game in both of them in order to DL the last update (timeout issues and whatnot), and I noticed that the game version I had was shaiya: guidance of Goddess (ep2 or 3?? can't remember), and it has been patched up since then, while in my newest comp it was shaiya: relic of mystra (ep5).
the former had no such folder, while the latter had, so I would guess that your original version of the game makes a difference here.

also bear in mind ignite-installed shaiya vs standalone shaiya

but, just as a curiosity, after I reinstalled both comps through ignite, there's no such folder in neither of them.

and yep, like someone said, an hackshield that can be deleted, wow, will do wonders to prevent hacks Rolling Eyes
