Take a look at Hs..

Mmmhm, you can't really trust that I think. Alot of gold guns say they have 250+ hs damage, but can't kill a basic character without armor.

Gold guns have range drop offs. So damage decreases as distance increases. Think of it as :
Damage = Original Damage - (Range * Damage loss per meter)
So if you had a gun that deals 200 at 0 meters but has a range of 40 meters, then it will be :
Damage loss per meter = 200 / 40
Damage loss per meter = 5
So your calculations will be
Damage = Original Damage - (Range * 5)
And if you were firing roughly 30 meters, it would be
Damage = 200 - (30 * 5)
Damage = 200 - 150
Damage = 50
Which also counts towards headshot bonus damage too. So if your gun has a (for the sake of math) 240 bonus damage for headshots.
Headshot Damage loss per meter = 240 / 40
Headshot Damage loss per meter = 6
So your headshot bonus damage reduces by 6 per meter
Headshot Damage = 240 - (30 * 6)
Headshot Damage = 240 - 180
Headshot Damage = 60
Which then makes a final total of like.
Total damage = Damage + Headshot Damage
Total damage = 50 + 60
Total damage = 110
Then you factor in all the armor and crap which would reduce the damage (Too lazy since armor %'s are never correct)
But for AP guns, it's like the range is infinite so you'll deal consistent damage no matter what range.
