PAY to get my account back?

What's all this?

I have been absent from Shaiya for almost 2 years. I found out my account was banned (note that I am writing from a different account) , fair enough, apparently they do that to inactive accounts. I send in my ban-appeal. I get THIS reply:

Thank you for contacting us. The reason why your account was suspended
was due to chargebacks filed with PayPal. For us to release your
account, please make a payment of $200 USD to Billing@aeriagames.com
through paypal. Then please provide us with the transaction ID number so
we can verify that the payments were made. Please refer to the list
below for the PayPal cases that have been reversed back to you.

please make a payment of $200 USD directly through PayPal to
billing@aeriagames.com using a Paypal account. [DO NOT PURCHASE MORE AP]
2) reply back to this email and send in the transaction # of the payment
you just made, your user ID, and request to be unsuspended
Once we have verified the payment, we will unsuspend your account.

In other words, I need to PAY (a big price too) to get my account back? What?
Funny thing is I have NEVER used paypal to pay for aeriapoints, I've used the mobile services. So what's this all about?

According to that it seems likely that someone hacked your account while you were gone and attempted fraudulent purchases. Honestly I doubt there is muchelse you can do unless there is a way for them to IP check where the fraudulent purchases were made from or who they were made by.

This is an example of the issues that we are trying to avoid by removing service from inactive accounts. Let the billing team know that these were not your purchases, and they will work with you to see what can be done.
