Mage/Wizard/Witch Feedback Thread

Hi, Sisters.

We who play Mages know well that numerous issues connected with our class and subclasses exist which need to be addressed.

Please post your feedback in this thread (keep the criticism constructive, please; no flaming, no comments from the peanut gallery, no conspiracy theories -- just point out the glitches, bugs, and design/development flaws, and your suggestions for how to improve the situation).

I would like more smexiness on new armors for all mages. Not too much but not too little.

What I had in mind was more to do with skills, armor, stat bonuses, def, damage, etc.

Like ...

UN-NERF OUR DEBUFFS, CURSES, AND BLEEDS!

and such, but without the yelling, and with more detail, explanation, evidence, etc.

This is 1st what all mages need to get fixed!

Mage players allways need to use self buffs to be more effective. in PvP and sometimes in PvE too this message: "Another skill in use" getting so annoying and slowing mages down.

We need buff for movement (Chakra shield skill), we need buff for attack speed (Scud skill), we need buff for accuracy-hit rate (Spell focus) and ofc haste for faster skill refreshing!

Other classes not need to use so much theirs self buff skills. Rogues just run into arena and got speed, damage and fast hitting already. Rebuffing slowing mages and its annoying. Arena PvPing slowing mages alot.

Make rebuffing process more faster or maybe even automatic, improve mage's gameplay.

That is helpful information, but how many buffs do other classes have, vs. how many Mages have? I believe it dogs Mages more than other classes (or at least more than most other classes). It should be fixed for all classes, yes. However, before the peanut gallery descends on this thread with unhelpful comments, ...

This thread is not about what problems other classes have, unless the sharing of that info can help to shed some light on the causes of Mage issues. maxhatz's comment does, by pointing out that it happens to all classes (but I have to admit to having experienced it far, far less frequently on Healers I have played, and my personal experience with any class other than Mage and Healer is rather limited), and thereby indicating that the cause is something to be looked for in underlying game mechanics, and not just in the mechanics affecting Mages. Do other classes face challenges? Sure, but I said in the OP: "no comments from the peanut gallery" (which means that, unlike in EVERY other thread where we have tried to point out what's wrong with Mages and the two subclasses thereof, there should be NO comments in this thread from people mocking us for trying to get positive changes for our class and poo-pooing what we're saying here because they want their own issues addressed). This thread is for Mage issues.

longer buff duration for ALL buffs
hr buff (instead of measly 10 or 15 mhr, make it 10 or 15%, or at least 200- 400 as fixed value)
same with chakra shield (instead of +1 to move. speed, 10-30% increase. stacks with pots)
CN attack buff is redonkulous - instead of adding att, make it slow down or paralyze the target(s)
add a bleeding effect to terra spear (it's a "spear", it goes through you)
fix the lvl 25 fast spellcasting passive skill ( I don't think it works)

Cool time for ice ball and wind its toolong and silly.
5 mins cooldown real time on ice make it ridiculous b4 u get 100% cast.
3mins for wind storm.....it's a just a joke.
Chakra shied should be stackable with rest speed pots.
Spell focus should be % based, not just 10 magic hr.
Spring of mana, should be buff,not selfbuff - whats the point to spend over 5k sp and 2b gold, when as mage u can get 100% mp reduction..
What's the point of critical and deadly master, tht cost over 5k sp and 4b gold, when wizards doesn't use reg hits and our skills are not deadly or crit based??
And mostly - make haste selfbuff.

Nice ideas Lich.. longer buff duration I'm all for.

Not sure the percentage for Spell Focus is a good idea as it could get bring balancing issues
like shown in the past and still to this date with other elements, but a higher value would be..nice.

The Chakra change would be very nice, especially the part about stacking with pots.
Not sure about the effect on Terra Spear, but I would like one on Fireball/Wind Storm/Ice Ball to
make them not be practically the same skill.

Chaos Nova I don't really mind as it is.. it can be a very good skill with absorption so some risk
with it I don't really mind.. having it paralyze the targets would be way too strong.

The passive you mentioned does work.. it removes one second off cooldowns. Take all gear off
and look at cooldowns and then equip a weapon to trigger the passive and you'll see cooldowns
will be reduced (Haste 5->4 seconds, Ice Ball 300->299 seconds etc).

If an ranger can get 10k hr just with single buff, why 10% more hr as buff can bring some issue???
The highest magic hr u can get its maybe 6-7k with best acc and lots of pots and buffs, so even with 10% increased, will be still less than rangers.
I dont see anythign wrong with tht.
Wizards r suposed to be one of the best dmg dealers, tht means high dmg and hr for pvp.
We all know we r too far from tht atm.
