That's just the point, there is no
"security" program that will work long term.
Anything that the programmers put in can be bypassed. If it's in the code then it can be reverse engineered - the instructions on how to bypass it are actually contained within the code.
The only people who will be seriously inconvenienced are the people who don't want to cheat.
Case in point, the latest idiocy from Nexon that prevents people running Shaiya inside a virtual machine. This immediately stops all Mac users playing the game, but I'm betting that the people who were using virtual machines in order to cheat have already found a way around it.
Nexon have prevented an entire segment of the community from playing in order to mildly and temporarily inconvenience a minute number of cheaters.
