I just got it.

One of the first books that I learned to read was a picture book that contained animal jokes. I guess I would have been 5 or 6 at the time. It was a great book. It had such gems as:

Q: What time is it when a hippo sits on a bench?
A: Time to get a new bench!

and

Q: Where does a two ton gorilla sit in a movie theater?
A: Wherever it wants to!

LOL

Anyway, so I'm sitting here eating a bagel when this book that I haven't read for almost 20 years comes drifting back into my mind. One of the jokes that had always eluded me as a child concerned a rather unusual duck.

Q: What does a duck do when it flies upside down?
A: It quacks up!

I didn't get it. What does that even mean?

Well I just got it! You see, the duck quite literally would project its quacks vertically. But that's not the whole joke. The phrase "quacking up" is a bit of a pun, also slang for a person who is going crazy. And wouldn't you say that a duck flying upside down is a little crazy? I would. This joke is friggin' hilarious.

That's all. Carry on.

Do you see this, Tactics?

Do you see what you're doing to us?

End this torture, for the love of our sanity. Else I fear the community will be a bunch of raving loons.

I'm sitting here thinking that... wouldn't a duck simply look forward when flying, unless looking for a place to land? So regardless of if upside down or right, it would quack forward.

There goes all my years of research trying to understand the joke. Welp, no point in life now.

*Looks at third joke and the thought on what it means* ...............

*tosses paper* Well, I'll never sleep again.

But really, we COULD use an ETA right about now. I'm starting to fear that a time might come when I'll have to call up the local troll of the DWO forums here just to keep everyone from going insane. (Those from the same forums know who I'm talking about)
