If you are a major you can buy the C-95 AT without paying any gold.

Edit: Nvm, tried HD..  

At the rank of Major you can buy it without paying gold, but you must have the necessary amount of gold as if you'd buy it normally (both WC and gold), it's a checking bug I guess, once you have it, you'll be able to buy it and the gold won't be taken from you.
