when he received it and took it out of the mail, I did not receive any amount in gold for the

What you are saying is not possible. Also how would you know he took it out since I see no proof of him linking the halo in the chat. More likely he opened the mail and díd nothing, just wait 72 hours and it should return the mail with the halo back to you.
