Give it some time. It's only Closed Beta. Stuff usually isn't very good when a game is in Closed Be-oh, forget it.
If it's THAT bad, especially at Closed Beta, chances are, it's not gonna have a good start when it goes into the full version. Yeah, like some other games, Dragon Nest didn't have a whole lot when it was in CB, but at least it already had level 15 class specializations to go with the 4 base classes, AND a level 24 cap. It also had a method of resetting skill points to reallocate them. How many classes does DK Online have, and what's the level cap (if any)?
Has 4 classes, and they are only effect with their intended role. level cap atm rumored 30 (it took 5 hours to reach level 15 farming quests with multiple quest requiring you to kill the same monster over n over, no variety.
Oh yeah, and if you get caught in plants that can normally be passed through in other games (there are plants that can't be passed through, but it's 1) part of a larger 3D barrier, or 2) rare), then that's just bad programming. Also, not passing through walls is understandable, but walls that you get stuck in just for walking next to it? This game MIGHT have potential, but there's plenty of spots in need of improvement to 1) make movement not so outdated, and 2) make it NOT be a boring grind fest (they DO get boring, people. TRUST me).

Potential, but with aeria's track record it'll go down the drain. ~

Agreed. It's just not gonna make it as far as it would with others. And 5 hours just to reach level 15, and quests with no variety? We all know where THAT leads.
I mean, Dragon nest sometimes has a series of quests that require you to repeat the same dungeon, but sometimes it throws in objectives like looking for specific items or repeating the dungeons on specific difficulties. Also, it probably takes a bit longer (probably 2-3 hours), but if you do every dungeon on Hard/Master (latter is harder and gives more EXP) and main quests, as well as a commission or two, you'll be at level 9 and out of the starting town before you know it. It at least does a good job at trying to avoid grinding the same dungeon for 10 hours straight.
Even Dynasty Warriors Online. You don't have to constantly melee farm. Just do it if you need items, gold, and uses, make sure you have a weapon you've learned how to use, and do confronts/showdowns/survival matches. That's usually more than enough to get you a good amount of honor. Then again, DWO isn't an RPG, and even it and DN have their flaws.
Like I said before, DKO has potential, but as you mentioned, chances are it will go down the drain. We'll see how things go when it becomes available for everyone.
P.S. Another thing for DN is that guilds can have the benefit of boosting EXP gain, so being in one is a good idea (could use something like that here, but chances are we're never getting the Guild Boons system).
