a question~

character stats
So I leveled up.
And i have one stat point to distribute.
I was trying to figure out what each stat does.

Can someone tell me what each stat out of the 5 does exactly?

~Strength
~Dexterity
~Con (idk what it's actually called)
~Intelligence
~Wisdom

Well not sure on the top of my head. But there is a neat feature that gives you a meaning of each. Click on your character. And where you see the "+" sign move your cursor over that. Wait around 5 seconds (maybe less) and a little dialogue should appear. The dialogue is the meaning. Smile

str is attack and crit
dex is dodge and accuracy
con is hp and defence i believe
int should be magic att and magic crit if i am right
wisdom is mp and probally magic resist? might be wrong

According to the mouse overs in game

STR Attack and crit.

DEX Accuracy and dodge

CON HP and HP recovery rate.

INT Magical attack and Magical crit.

WIS MP and MP recovery rate

I can't test the exact values per point at the moment, but I will later.

CON = Constitution

Usually used as a stand in for Health, Stamina, or Vitality.

1 Str = 3 attack.
1 int = 6 magic attack.

I'm not sure about the crit/magic crit, or the other stats, Id have to start a level 1 character a couple times and put a point into each stat to see what it does.

in the mmos i play con also stands for defence which is usually vit

killercutie403, the pages about each class on Aeria's DKO site have a section detailing recommended stat distributions--these may be helpful! You didn't specify your class, so I've linked to all four of them below. Smile

Make sure to look at the statweb on the right column (each class' initial stats) as well as the Stat Distribution section toward the bottom of each page.

I definitely wouldn't take the stat distribution sections to mind.
The paladin one says no wisdom....
But the thing my lvl 35 paladin friend has a problem with is running out of mana for his heal, not how much it heals >_<

As well as the opposite for my sorceress, I've never put a point in wisdom and I've never had any mana problems. Although I would credit part of this to the current way spells are cast.(Cast bar 1 second + animation 2 second = spell every 3-4 seconds = hardly any mana used.)

You're right, each person's playstyle has a big impact on the stats they need. If a Paladin is doing a lot of healing, then they should definitely put points into wisdom. A Sorceress who casts only as fast as her mana regens or has the Celerity talent in her skill rotation may not need as much wisdom as someone who spams high-cost attacks.
