Question to the Aeria Games Community

The DWO Community Specifically
Whenever the GMs mess up the delivery system/code during a payout and give us the wrong things, why is it that we, the community, have to discard what they gave us by accident?

Why do we have to get rid of their mistake instead of being allowed to keep it and show it to them as a reminder to get things done right the first time? Why are we not allowed to make an example of their faults by keeping that which they gave us by mistake? They have the power to even go into our account and delete these things that they do wrong, see the things that they do wrong, and fix the things that they do wrong (once we bring it to their attention of course).

I understand that people lie and what not, but to avoid something like that all that is needed is a screenshot of what is wrong.

Again my question is why do we have to give up the mistakes that GMs GIVE us instead of being able to keep that item AND what we were SUPPOSED to receive as a reward in the first place?

Do you think this would be fair and give the GM team a greater incentive to do things right the first time?

I understand the human tendency to "Be imperfect" and mess up a few times, but this is a business that is being run and should really be treated as such, right? Things should get done right the first time around and tickets shouldn't have to be submitted after payout issues/errors.

In my opinion, I think that if the GMs mess up, the players should be able to keep that which they gave us in the wrong and do with it what we like AS WELL AS keep that which we had initially asked for to begin with. But that's just my opinion.

What is yours?

I do agree with the fact that you could keep the item they gave us wrong.
Atleast that's a kind of sorry-present that we have to wait a week longer >_>

When I first started playing they did let me keep a few things but that was before the rewards system that they have now. ...Back before 10/ 2011..

I agree they should let us keep the stuff since it is their mistake and it takes some time to fix their mistakes.

Depending on which AGE game it could be a minor/huge exploit. Sort of like a personal game breaking feature.

For DWO for instance they messed up on not only by giving the negative version of the weapon promised but also r6 stated r5 weapons, mixed stated weapons, and even unbreakable elemental weapons(to which I will add some still exist.) Should they be removed? Yes whether they were Aeria's screw up or not proper protocol demands they should but at an APPROPRIATE AND SECURE WAY. Not a "please just dump your old one when you get your new one" type of deal which can be easily abused.

You pay for said item and are expected to receive only said item. Anything else that may come in should be returned or junked. Unless said GM/PM was feeling a bit generous..

I agree to both of you ..Tenshi -sama as well as Kizu .

There is a reason to keep this items- for showing what they have done..but it is at least also unfair to keep unbreakable element weaps.

I have to agree with you in that particular sense where it would be unfair to have those super weapons kept thus causing an imbalance of this game. That is a given. But what about those weapons that are still pretty nice but just wrong. I know it's not hard to farm for perfect weapons with perfect stats, emblems, and max tempers, but having that little "Sorry for wasting your valuable gaming time and money" present does seem a bit fair. That's just how I feel.
I personally think that the GMs telling us to throw the wrong gear away that is a +7 but not really the stat we wanted but still useful in a sense... I feel as if that is one of the more subtle ways the GMs could openly say to us "Fk you. Have a nice day. Spend more AP. Come back anytime."

But I see what you mean. That would be pretty bad if that type of situation were to happen.

Would say it's more of a kind of damage control rather than cleaning up their mistakes. I do believe if I have proof of what reward I picked out in the form, but still got sent the wrong item/weapons, I should be able to keep it and also get the item I filled out the form for, but again, if I have the proof to back that up. If the weapons/item is however bugged, I think it should be removed asap, as it could potentially be harmfull to the server, which is broken enough as it is.

If you choose to keep the gear or weapon the GMs have mistakenly given you, they have effectively fulfilled their obligation within the terms of the promotion. You have been given weapon or gear x of your choice. You are not entitled to weapon or gear y of your choice in addition to weapon or gear x of your choice, even if you originally wanted weapon or gear y.

*looks at the dyed gear promotions that Tenshi repeatedly participates in*

Unless you want to dye those gears yourself at full cost, quit whining about compensation for delivery mistakes when it comes to stuff that is practically free, yet difficult to produce in game.

I feel like SOME compensation should be given for these screwups, and with how often it's happening, keeping any unbroken thing they accidentally give you seems like a fair trade. I'm sorry, but the bonus honor just isn't cutting it anymore.

I know I've dismissed it as "just another ****" before, but Aeria should be held accountable for its many, many screwups, and this is the easiest place to start.

Fun thing is, even after the 100th bugged payout, people still participate in promotions and buy AP. So I guess they aren't THAT upset about it

This is why I don't play DWO
