"A black hole isn't an actual hole. Stuff can't "enter" a black hole. Stuff can't go "in" to a black hole. Stuff can't fall "through" a black hole or "come out the other side".
A black hole is a stellar remnant (what's left over after a star dies) and it's very hot, very dense, and has extreme gravity. It's like a big ball. When stuff gets too close to a black hole it can't escape the black hole's gravity and thus it eventually becomes part of the black hole; just more stuff smushed onto a lot of already smushed up stuff.
The word "black" is in the name because black holes are dark. We can't see them. Their gravity is so extreme that light cannot escape.
I vote to rename them "black balls" or "black stars" that way people stop thinking that there's an actual hole there."
