I would like to share a simple idea about claying and a fun way to improve it and to get back all the clayers who do not see the point in claying in mass numbers anymore, and see what everyone thinks. Feel free to post and leave your ideas !!
Well, the idea is that everyone's character should have a new tab on their main sprite called : Clay Level.
Here's an explanation on what this tab is exactly: This sprite tab just like all the other tabs within the sprite (salvage, mining, hunting, etc) starts from level 1. The only way to level it is to gather experience points, but experience points can only be gotten through the usage of clays. 1 clay = 1 exp for example. Now you might ask, why ? whats the point ?
Well, going into further detail of this, there should be the current mclay table and all of the prizes listed as well as their current rate.
With every level gained in this tab, these rates would be higher for that certain player.
Example : Sprite's clay level of Player X is 1, the rate of hitting 5x Gaia's Blessing 4 is 10%.
However, the Sprites clay level of Player Y is 2, the rate of hitting 5x Gaia's Blessing 4 is 11%.
The level's gained on the sprite is permanent, therefore, if leveled to 2, you will have an increased rate of all prizes on today's mclay table as well as tomorrow's, and so forth.
Leveling of this tab should be rather difficult, and based on using clays.
Example : Level 1-2 takes 10 Mclays. Level 2-3 takes 20, so on.
To make this fair for all players who are interested in claying, this tab, and the level of it, should NOT be based on the characters level and its other tabs (mining, foraging, hunting), which means, a player who has capped his character at level 40, can level this new tab, until 90 (current level cap, clay level raises with max cap level) without having to
A) evolve his sprite.
B) Level his character.
This way, people who are lower level will not feel cheated by this system and can achieve the same level of increased rates as much as a player with a level 90 character.
How does this benefit the players ? How does it benefit aeria ? What are the pro's and con's ?
Well, in terms of the overall players, if this system is to be put in place in the future, people who like to clay, would be more inclined to clay, so they can level their sprites and achieve a better success rate for their own personal usage in the future. Also, since the leveling is based on the USAGE of clays, the outcome will result in more prizes won by more people.
Mclay will not be based on luck, but on effort, and how many clays you spend. This factor will also attract people who have not been very interested in claying before as they feel like they always lose, or just have bad luck, now they will know what to expect, and how to improve their chances of success through the clay table (and the rates listed) in this tab.
What's in it for the company and why go through all this trouble ?
Well, we all should know clays come from one place, the item mall. If this service is to be put into place, then the demand of clays will raise without a doubt, as of now, people are having some trouble selling their mclays since there is not that high demand at the moment (Gaia server, atleast), however, if this system is to be put, then as the demand raises, the AP spenders will be more willing to spend AP for Mclay purchasing as it will be:
A) sold faster, because of higher demand
B) can be used for thier own personal use (now for a purpose and benefit).
This is the overall idea I had in mind, and to summarize it all up, a new tab on main sprite that can be leveled to the current level cap of the game, regardless of the player's character level. Leveling of the tab can only be done through the usage of clays, and the higher the level, the better rates you will have at all mclay tables. Rates to be given along with the current mclay table in this tab, reason is so more people would be interested in clays, demand raising, and have a higher flow of mclay prizes in market.
Thank you all, feel free to leave any and all suggestions.
