Brief Description
Horror Mode 2 is essentially a Team Death Match but with a twist. One side are Humans and the other are ZOMBIES!. After each round you will switch between sides (Zombie or Human). The goal here is to obtain 100 Points in order to win each round.
The winning team of the game is based on:
1) Number of rounds won
2) Total accumulated points
If your team wins 3 out of 4 rounds, your team automatically wins and the game ends.
If both teams win 2 out of 4 rounds, the winning team is based on total accumulated points.
Human Side Explained
You will use your normal equipment.
You can gain points via the following methods:
1. Kill zombies 1 point
2. Save Jenny 10 points
Your ammo is limited. If you run out of ammo, you need to refill your current clip or obtain a Double Blast Shotgun. But a tip is to not suicide or it takes a point from your team and still causes you a death.
When Jenny respawns, a pink icon will appear, marking her location. (I like to stay in a centered / safe location where I'd expect her holding E if the area is clear so if you get lucky she'll spawn where you are and it'll be almost to late for Zombies to stop you)
Stand close to her and press E, the same as planting/defusing bombs. She will disappear after every successful rescue.
Jenny respawns again approximately 30 seconds after she is rescued.
Every successful rescue gives the rescuer a new secondary weapon (Double Blast), and bonus points to the team.
- Damage is caused when falling from heights so be aware or can suicide and take a point from your team.
- Health can be regained by killing enemies
Drop Boxes
These are randomly found throughout the map for human use. They are quite easily seen and highlight in a color shining up.
Each pick-up gives one of the following items:
1. HP restores fully yourself
2. HP restores yourself and nearby team a bit
3. Ammo Refill - Only refills the current clip.
4. Power Up called 1Up - Increases damage
Double Blast
This secondary weapon is available only in Horror Mode 2 and is rewarded upon every successful rescue of Jenny.
It replaces your secondary weapon, and it will remain until you die and respawn.
Each acquisition gives 18 rounds.
Reloading is not possible. The only way to refill the rounds is to rescue Jenny again.
Knocks back allzombies.
This includes Boss zombie using Dash, and Wraith zombie using Explode.
Zombie Side Explained
You can gain points via the following methods:
1. Kill humans 1 point
2. Prevent rescue 10 points
While waiting to respawn, press the Left or Right keys to scroll through the list of zombies available. Once selected press the Down key after 2 seconds to respawn straight away, or wait for the bar to move to the end to automatically respawn.
If humans cannot save Jenny after she spawns, zombie team will get continuously get bonus points every 30 seconds interval. (Prevent rescue = 10 Points)
Jenny cannot be targeted/Hurt by zombies.
The Search function has been upgraded from the original Horror Mode.
It highlights humans within range in red. But even if there is nothing obstructing your view they will continue to be highlighted.
- You do not suffer damage when falling from heights.
- Health can be regained by killing enemies
Zombie Information
Tip: If your zombie has smoke (not grenades that blow up) then you can stand inside it to heal up.
Cruel - The jumping bat-like zombie.
Left Click - Normal attack
Button 2 Jumps a distance
Button 3 Throws a grenade that explodes upon impact
Button 4 - Search
Tips: This is a fast, mobile zombie. Use its flying to your advantage. Don't simply run along the floor at people. Jump up onto buildings. If you feel they have a full clip and you are close then simply press 2 to get away. Since the warmdown is so quick, you can keep using the jump almost every few seconds.
Hunter - The sickle-wielding zombie.
Left Click - Normal attack
Button 2 - Pulls a targeted human towards him, and does severe damage.
Button 3 Throws a blood smoke grenade that damage every few seconds
Button 4 Extra long-range search
Tips: Be tactful with this zombie. He will die quite easy out in the open. It's good to hide, use the search button when high up. He should most oftenly use the '2 button' to pull someone to him when they are nearly or are out of ammo. Practice using the 2 button. You can perfect it well. The best way is to get the persons name in your crosshair, as soon as you get it on target and the name is red, press the button and reel them in!
Heavy - The makeshift-cudgel-wielding zombie.
Left Click - Normal attack
Button 2 - Jumps forward and damages all humans in an area upon landingButton 3 - Throws a blood smoke grenade that damage every few seconds
Button 4 - Search
Tips: He can jump very high while using the '2 button' so use this to your advantage to jump over water and onto buildings.
Boss - The original Host zombie.
Left Click - Normal attack
Button 2 Move at a very fast speed and suffers no knock-back effect (except from Double Blast)
Button 3 - Throws a blood smoke grenade that damage every few seconds
Button 4 - Search
Wraith - The self-exploding zombie.
Left Click - Normal attack
Button 2 Becomes invulnerable and increases moving speed for 5 seconds, then explodes and deals damage to self (30 hp) and to nearby humans which if you've slashed just before, will give you headshots. Tip: Jump as it explodes so you are not stuck in a standing position as it leaves you vulnerable
Button 3 - Throws a blood smoke grenade that damage every few seconds
Button 4 - Search
Tips: Use the bomb mainly only if you are certain you can get a kill. Once you have a kill there is no warmdown for the bomb so you can immediately use it again which I do to either run away and regain better position or to carry on killing when I'm sure I can.
