The game hasn't been formatted to work on windows 8, is what I would expect. Just like how most new games do not support windows xp because windows xp is such an old operating system. Now, windows 8 is a much newer system, that games are going to have to code for. You should re-install windows 7. Windows 8 is very new OS so most games do not have it coded yet.

It's still not really compatible with windows 8 so you will experience some problems. I was told this by a game sage so it is reliable information

it is compatible! i got windows 8 to.For me soldier front lagged 2. but i went to my nvidia configuration and added soldier front to 3d list+changed some little things to make it more on speed and less on quality. If you got nvidia its worth a shot. Soldier front runs verry smootly now over here!
