How To Become A Competitive Scrimmer

This is a guide for new players looking to get involved in competitive playing within a clan including scrimmaging and tournaments within the Soldier Front community. I myself have retired from playing competitively, but played competitively for 2 years. If people like this guide, i'll be making a few more in the future on a couple different topics.
1. Choosing your scrimmage weapon
Among the Soldier Front community there are 3 main weapons referred to as "scrim weapons". These weapons are the M4A1, the AK74, and the PSG - 1. There are other allowed weapons which I will provide in a later link with the full scrimmage rules, but these 3 are the core.

M4A1 - The M4 is a fairly light, cheap, and low recoil gun. The M4 has an odd spray pattern, but a strong rate of fire. I would recommend this gun to any starting scrimmer.

AK74 - The AK is a average weight, high recoiled, powerful gun. The rate of fire is fairly good, and the spray pattern is preferable. I would recommend taking up practice with the AK to players who have experience with other high recoil weapons, or who have good experience on SF.

PSG - 1 - The PSG is a strong, semi automatic sniper rifle. The PSG is fairly heavy, but is great for picking off an enemy from a distance in one quick shot, unless it is a leg shot, neck shot, arm shot, or tank in which you need 2 shots to kill an enemy. I recommend the PSG to users with prior experience with other snipers.
2. Training
The training part of the process is most likely the longest, so I will try to keep it short and sweet and provide links of game play and such in the useful links at the bottom. Specifically, I would recommend doing a lot of team battle practice considering it will represent a clan battle or scrimmage greater than any other mode the game offers. Other modes you can do to practice is team death match, or single battles. I would highly recommend team battle though. Most importantly, when you're practicing, make sure to practice with your scrimmage weapon.
3. Finding a clan
After you have practiced long and hard, and believe you are ready to start your scrimming career, you will need to find a clan to join or create your own clan. To start a clan, you will need to find the "Create a clan" button on the Soldier Front homepage, but for now, there is no clan system up and running so that is not an option. But don't worry! There are still clans out there running scrimmages against other clans. The best way to find a new clan to pick you up in my opinion is to post on the USFU forums or eu.sf.com for the europeans, which I will post a link to below. Once your there, post a thread stating your clanless, and wait a few days to see if someone will pick you up! Be sure to include as much as you can offer to the clan in your thread, and also include a way someone can contact you to discuss joining. Also, you can post right here on the Aeria Games forums with the same format. Or lastly, you can find someone in game who is looking for members to join their clan.
4. Scrimmaging and tournaments
Scrimmaging - A competitive clan, will always love a good challenge from another competitive clan. This is known as a "scrimmage". To find out the full run down on how a scrimmage works, and all the rules please view the link I have provided below. To find a scrimmage match in game, enter channel 13 (for U.S. players) or channel 12 (for euro players). There, you will see many rooms of clans scrimmaging. To find a scrimmage for your clan, either enter a room created already by another clan, or look for someone spamming the same number of players you have in the lobby. Again, refer to the scrim rules to see how it will work from there.
Tournaments - Tournaments are held for Soldier Front clans all throughout the year. The biggest of all tournaments is the national tournament in which players from a clan will compete against each other to see who is the best of the best. The winning clan from each version of Soldier Front will travel out of the country to play against the best from the other versions. To see more on this, view the link to the tournament website below or the thread on this year's nationals. Examples of other tournaments are usually hosted by Topic such as the "Autumn Cup" or the "Hottest Under The Sun" tournaments. To see more on these tournaments view the link to the USFU tournaments below.
