A.v.A. is not compatible with Windows 8 yet. This is why you upgrade months after the initial release of an OS.

ava/gameguard don't like windows 8 and vice versa right now. Devs are working on that though. When the issue will be resolved though, I am not sure. Also Tabularazaa is right, you'd have to use Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Compatibility mode allows an older program written for an earlier versions of Windows to possibly run in Windows 8.

Using cheaters to bypass the Gameguard?
The problem of the AVA closing is the gameguard does not work in windows 8, if the AVA is running them in windows 8, something unusual he's doing.

nahn i dont bypass gameguard - i have formated HDD... lol

I dont know why my game is crashed in win8 - i have clean reinstalled hdd with clean and legal Win8 without any ByPasses or any "cheats"... i have installed all libraries like DirectX, Framework, C++ and others - idk why game is crashing in 1 minute or less.

first time when i tried to run ava - crash
second time - BSOD
third and more Times - crashes

If you haven't read any of the previous comments:

Compatibility mode allows an older program written for an earlier versions of Windows to possibly run in Windows 8.

Keyword: possibly. Meaning it may or may not work.
