I actually noticed it after I bought it when I hit 71. Skilled it and HP barely moved.

Because that's for Sin/Ranger

Confirming that archers only get 2 times base LUC bonus as HP. Priests (confirmed by guildies) get 2 times base WIS bonus as HP. Defenders (confirmed by guildies) and Guardians (confirmed by Rekikyo), however, get 2 times total REC bonus as HP. I don't know about other classes.
