I think a good GS should know the game well. They should be able to answer questions about game mechanics, and do so in a polite and professional manner.

A GS should set aside whatever they're doing to help someone.

They should also be able to mediate arguments, not taking either side, but working to diffuse difficult situations.

A good Game sage is some one who always has a positive attitude no matter what players my throw at them. They must have a willingness to answer questions, patience, knowledge of the game and must always follow the ToS. GS's (game sages) must know their way around the forums to help people in need and also have the mind set that they may have to give up their playing time to help players and report gold sellers/gold spammers/ players violating the ToS.

A Good Game Sage is someone who is non-partial, maintains confidentiality, can be trusted, knows his/her responsibilities and is mainly highly active. There are many Game Sages that do an excellent job but are not able to be there for support when required.

I think a good Game Sage is able to provide great "customer service", while enjoying the game they are a part of. A Game Sage should have patience to deal with the more difficult issues and not shy away from the problems within the game. A gamesage is someone who can give up anything they do in-game for the assistance of others such as the well being and safety of the gamers, selflessness and consideration for the community, and full of integrity therefore allowing fairness to prevail in the balance as well. Another good Gamesage also has the ability to let things, "ride the wind" and "turn the other cheek" when necessary. A Gamesage should also be there to help anyone on the Aeria staff, no matter what game.

A good Game Sage is a normal player who with his/her knowledge can take time to help anyone who asks. They can be patient and kind and yet stand firm against those who are violating the TOS. They help the GM's with whatever they need so that they can lighten the load that the GM's already have fixing problems and keeping the player base happy. A Game Sage also doesn't let small things effect them too much as so they can continue to provide a great time for others. And of course they know how to have fun and enjoy their time within the game and in the forums.

In my opinion, a good Game Sage is a regular player who should be able to assist players with different issues, make sure that the players/customers are satisfied. Basically, make the game better by helping people and Game Masters, reporting people who ruin other people's time (harassment, flaming...) and try to create Events so that the people can stay amused. Good Game Sages should always stay positive, patient and keep stuff confidential.
