I've downloaded and extracted the files all to one folder (in the specified order), confirmed the overwriting of some files, and opened Grand Fantasia. It works.

I had trouble downloading GH recently since when I downloaded it from the main site, the download would stop when it was literally a few MB away from it being done, and wouldn't continue.

That file is part of package 26.

Downloading the latest patch file (which contains pkg026.pkg) will solve your issue.

Do not patch once you download the manual patch, simply launch GrandFantasia.exe

woud you post a link for the pakage's download link?

If that's the case, then your client is too outdated. You may be missing even more files.

I would download all files listed in the original post and apply them in time order.
