UPDATE September 4, 2012
Great news! We received the list of unopened boxes! It's an extremely large list though. I'm going to have to put in a request for an automated procedure to match each of these Ijji accounts to the Aeria account it was migrated to. What we'll reimburse with is still TBD, though. Hold tight.
UPDATE August 27, 2012
We managed to get a contact for the publisher that owned Ijji that originally passed everything to us. We're going to reach out to them if they still have the data we need and could send it to us.
As to why there was oversight about this issue in the beginning, I do not actually know. But we'll see if we can resolve this now. This will take some time.
Understand that this does not guarantee anything. If it turns out that the data absolutely does not exist anywhere, we will continue with our current policy. If, however, the data can be retrieved, we will provide compensation based on the data provided. As to what that compensation will be is as-of-yet undetermined, but it will be of equal GCoin-to-AP value.
Didn't know Ijji was owned by another company? Read about it on Wikipedia, under "Acquisition of Ijji":

Hello everyone,
We are aware of the issue reported by players about missing lucky boxes from their GunZ account after the migration from IJJI to Aeria.
Unfortunately, due to the technical difficulties of extracting any relevant data, we cannot restore lucky boxes to accounts or compensate players who are missing the item(s). More specifically, there is no data available to examine past item purchase history on IJJI. Therefore we are unable to verify claims about missing lucky boxes. We regret that we cannot assist our players since we like to do so as much as possible, but please understand that we cannot act without evidence lest we risk the impression of favoritism towards groups of users.
While we understand that the reason many users had saved the lucky boxes is because the items contained in the box would change on a weekly basis, this will not be the same case on Aeria. Our lucky boxes contain a list of pre-determined items. Players should also note that when they purchase a lucky box from the web item mall, a random item will be generated and immediately sent to their storage as opposed to a capsule.
Notwithstanding this decision, we are always definitely open to accepting any and all evidence should you so desire to present your claim. But please make sure it is sufficient evidence, as our GMs have hundreds of player issues to attend to each day.
My apologies for this inconvenience.
