Wow, this was a difficult contest to judge, so many excellent entries. Thanks for all the effort and artistry.

I would like to award the GRAND PRIZE to the composer of this lyric revision, and I do give him props for choosing Journey and that particular song (because both are AWESOME!), as well as his revision (which is FAB!), but unfortunately, his entry is disqualified -- because:
*he didn't follow the rules ... and I'm going to make an example of him, so that others who did well in their composition but failed to win due to not following the rules might improve their chances for the next such competition I run. I hope to see you all enter my competitions again, and these are some hints ...

... He included the composers' names, but not the name of the artist/group who is/are known for the song (even though I know it's Journey), nor the original title of the song (even though I know it's "Don't Stop Believin' ") ...

and, perhaps more to the point as to why the entry was disqualified:
* GMs can't win prizes in this contest.

Choosing only 3 winners from these finalists has proven to be quite challenging, but after much consideration and assorted acts of divination, I have settled on the following three winners:
