I love how you guys are comparing my story to the Odyssey and Lord of the Rings. I didn't really think the scene was that "kinky", I mean at least there weren't any farm animals or foreign objects. Sometimes in writing it is difficult to avoid the cliche, and sometimes you just don't want to avoid it. If I was writing for a younger audience I would have left it out, but I generally assume that the Shaiyanites reading this are at least in High School.
In a lot of the anime and manga that I read, most of the male heroes are a little too noble when it comes to girls and I didn't want Seamus to like that. He's young and inexperienced at nearly everything, but he's also a guy who is most likely hours away from death and/or dismemberment. In order to keep what I thought was more realistic, I had to add the near-death romance artifice. Lux and Pandae are my most avid readers tho, so I take everything they say into consideration and am glad they're not afraid to voice their opinions.
