Don't really have a favorite genre, tbh. Though, for the moment I am into jrock mostly but not the heavier bands D:. I also like DnB, breakbeat trance, Korean hip-hop such as epik high and others. I'm also getting into some jazz. Oh, I do listen to Chinese Pop too like Jay Chou or Wilber Pan from time to time too.

American rap/hip-hop/r&b (or trash as I call it) never seemed appealing to me. I did like a few American rock bands, but I've never found one that I've stuck with for too long.

So glad to see bands like Periphery, Porcupine Tree, and Opeth in here. It makes me happy to see people like prog metal.

Obviously my favorite band is Led Zeppelin, but it would be pretty much impossible to list all my favorite bands/artists... I'll give some off the top of my head.

Meshuggah (djent)
Megadeth (thrash metal)
Masterplan (power metal)
The Human Abstract (prog metal)
Phutureprimitive (electronic)
Brand New (alt rock)
The Faceless (tech/prog death metal)
Septic Flesh (death metal)
Fleshgod Apocalypse (death metal)
Barenaked Ladies (alt rock)
Soilwork (melodic death metal)
Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad (extreme/prog metal)
Between the Buried and Me (prog metal)
Mastodon (prog/sludge metal)
Lamb of God (groove metal)
System of a Down (alt metal)
Sunn O))) (drone metal)

I don't believe that I have a certain favorite since I like my music equally, but the most that I listen to would be Jazz and some electro but not some of those excessive dubstep songs.

Respect<3

Two of the members of Meshuggah are from my home town, and Tomas Haake's house where he grew up is litterally 30 seconds from where I live, pretty fun:>
