please ensure that you can run it as admin. If that doesn't work, i should download from a mirror site. The aeria download is accompanied with akamai netsession software. Apparently it's failing to run properly at your PC.

It's not relevant to your OS because there are other persons ( include myself ) which can play this game at win7 64bit.

I googled my problem before posting it and i had a few topics with the same problem from months ago

I just wanted to clarify if the probllem was being fixed or not, which obviously hasn't. Well regardless thank you for the link, im downloading the game while i write this message. Cheers

i gave up

took 2 hours to download the mirror and i think the updater was redownloading everything, then about an hour and 30 mins later it says download failed

yeah im not going to redownload it, thanks again for the help though

What problem are you saying hasn't been fixed?

Being on 64 bit isn't an issue, neither is being on Windows 7 - I run Shaiya on Windows 7 64 bit, as do a lot of other people.

What could be a problem is permissions - Windows 7 is a lot stricter about who is allowed to do things.
If you are not a system administrator then you cannot install anything - that could possibly be your issue.
If it is, then even after downloading from the link xybolt gave you still won't be able to play Shaiya.

That shouldn't really be the problem, try troubleshooting another reason.

It's great to see more people coming in to this forum to help people, but the problem with advising someone to try troubleshooting another reason is that people come here asking for advice.
They are asking the people here to troubleshoot the problem

A better idea would be to suggest steps they can take to troubleshoot the issue.

It could be that I have 2 pservers games already installed on my computer

But as for the administrator thing, that is not the case. My account is on administrator and i tried several times to run shaiyas installation and directly from folder with administrator

the thing at windows 7 is that you are not really in admin mode once you have accessed your PC as admin. There are some permission privileges and as an admin account, some privileges are still set off by default. It is a small security thing that Microsoft has attached to prevent that customers would mess up with the OS easily. If you rightmouseclick the download shortcut and run it as admin, you are granted 2 more privileges ( could be more not sure ) for this run-up until this run has ended.

I have set all privileges at me on active myself manually because i doing computer science. After doing that i noticed that the idea from Microsoft is pretty sensible.

PS: your pserver clients doesn't interfere with the original client, so it isn't a factor, but don't forget that playing on a pserver is frowned upon and not accepted by aeria games
