Introduction to this Thread
The purpose of this thread is to help people who truly believe they have good suggestions have their suggestions get known and supported. There are many threads in here which are poorly made, poorly designed, and not well thought out which inevitably makes them ignored without any support. This thread is designed to help people make better suggestions that will really make a difference. A suggestion is an idea that you want to share with people. The goal of a suggestion is of course the suggestion becoming reality. Hopefully, this guide will help make your suggestion into one.

First MUST DO Steps BEFORE Making the Thread
Has it been suggested before?
Use the search feature to look for similar suggestions. If it has been suggested before, you should consider posting in the thread to show your support.
Note, the search feature has been disabled but will be put back in due time. - In the mean time I advise using google to do a quick search.

Titles
The title of your thread, especially for threads in the suggestion section, is by far the most important part. It will be the first thing someone sees and will be what attracts someone to your thread. It should be short, simple, and straight to the point about the content of your thread. For example, threads that say “suggestions” or ”my suggestions” will most likely get ignored unless you are a well respected forumer. Those threads tend to die the fastest. Also, threads like "My suggestions... please stop the noobs" which is not only long, but doesn't even relate to what the thread is talking about (bunnyhoping), will ultimately fail. Whereas, the threads I listed in the "Good Suggestion Threads" list are all straightforward and just by looking at the title you can already guess what the content is going to be about.
Ideas
This is important. Make sure your idea is original (again use search funtion) and make sure that it will affect many people in the game. The more people your suggestion affects, the more support you will get if it's a good suggestion. You should also draft your idea before posting it. Think of the conesquences of your idea, any flaws others may see in it, and think of the ideas benefits. All of these things should go into your thread.
Content
The content of your thread is also very important. Make sure it is relevant to the game. Use proper English. I'm not a picky person when it comes to grammar (English is my second language), but there are those who are crazy over grammar and if your thread has bad English then you are just asking for a random "grammar war" which will only kill your suggestion and thread. So to avoid that, just make sure you have a well written thread, use spell check. Also make sure your idea is well stated and simple to follow. No one likes to read a wall of text only to be confused in the end at what you wish to accomplish.
Layout
This is the second most important part of your thread.
Explain what your idea is right away in simple terms and then later get into a more detailed version of your idea.
-Add pictures!
Pictures are always interesting. If your idea is something totally new, try making an example of how it should look like in photoshop or paint. If you show pictures, more people will identify themselves in your ideas and support you.
If your idea can be illustrated using video media then by all means post a video too!
Also, post some of the flaws that may be in your suggestion and post answers to those flaws. This will help you not have to repeat yourself to the same comments over and over again in your thread.
Also make sure your suggestion is reader friendly by making certain parts in bold, italic, underlined, in different colors etc. Also make sure to make breaks in your paragraphs and that your suggestion just isn't one long wall of text.
Below is an Example Template you can use for your Suggestions

Polls
Polls are always good for suggestions. It's a good way to see if the community agrees with you or not. When making the poll, make sure your question well reflects the thread's suggestion and make your answer choices very simple if possible. For example, "Yes I like this idea" and "No I don't like this idea" And always ask for feed back too. To make a poll make sure to click on the box to make a poll at the bottom left hand corner when making a thread. I advise making a "test poll" in the general section before posting.
Getting Support
To get the most support follow these steps.
1. Make sure to those who comment about your suggestion, whether it be for or against your suggestion.
2. Keep open to other's ideas on your suggestion and how to improve it.
3. When others disagree with your suggestion ask what they don't like and figure out ways you can improve it if it seems reasonable.
4. PM a GM or well respected forumer to check out your suggestion and if he or she likes your suggestion and comments saying they support it then take their quote and put it in the original post. This way people will realize that it just isn't some random suggestion.
5. Make sure to keep your suggestion bumped. If it gets near the bottom of page 1 make sure to bump it back up to the top so that people keep noticing it.
6. Rate your suggestion 5 stars to help it get more noticed.
7. Maybe make a thread in the general section telling people in a brief explanation of what your suggestion is and link it to the thread.
