I was hear and read the post when TankGirl said they weren't allowed to advertise the game because of their agreements with Koei.

It made 0 sense to me at the time, but now that we know, according to an ex-GM that Koei doesn't make any money from this game, it might make a little sense.

You're right, Koei shouldn't care if the game is advertised or not, but apparently they do.

It doesn't make sense to me, but at this point, I don't care.

Aeira is a crap company, KOEI is a crap company, but they both get a lot of money so neither sees nor cares for a reason to change.

How many publishing companies do you know that pay upfront for X amount of time, where all gains (revenue) made from the game are kept to the publisher and nothing to the developer? It doesn't seem advantageous for the developer at all, so if (bolded for emphasis) this is the case, then it's only sensible that KOEI demand control over certain (many) features and aspects of the game.

You'd have to see the kind of contract these two companies have that give rise to DWO's situation. This contract plays a major role in the dynamics, behavior, and results that we see and infer from.

As to say: "You pay me this much? Fine, but I say what goes and what doesn't."

i am of the position that aeria will say anything in any moment to save face whether it is true or not. they suck hard.

if they could take away the red ring why do they all of sudden claim to be powerless in situations when it is convenient to do so.

in the feedback thread, people from other games said that AGE re-balanced and nerfed certain classes in some games even though those nerfs never happened on other servers. seems likes they have some control if they want it. i don't believe koei controls the item mall.

i don't see why AGE can make an all + stat crescent/crescent weapon but cannot make a +7 sorcerer's mail or whatever.
