Aeria just letting us rot....

It's the little things that count.
I'm sure that growing up in this great nation, many if not most of us were admonished by our parents to "pay attention to detail". We know that it shows passion for your work and care for the customer when we take care of the details.

I remember a conversation I had with my dad when he was teaching me how to detail boats... I was leaving a piece of work somewhat undone, as some wood trim was going to cover the area I was working in and the customer/boat owner would never see it. My dad said: "Are you going to leave that like that?" I said: "Dad who will ever know I left it?" His answer: "YOU WILL KNOW!!"

All my life I have measured the quality of my work by that conversation. I know that clients look at the details to see how much I care for their inspection of the finished product. Its what makes the products of this country better, what makes business in this country better, and it promotes trust between the buyer and seller.

Aeria, you could stand to take that lesson in right now. You guys are not paying attention to the details, and this is how we can tell how much you care about us as paying customers. Though several (more than several) very detailed and reasonable observations have been made about how the game can be better, we still have no response and no action from you. Where's the proof of the passion of your work? Where's your attention to detail?

We have no maintenance, no patches, no new gear, no new maps, no weekend kill rewards, no word from the GM's, no nothing.

In fact, my earlier post of the same nature was DELETED...like you guys would rather no one even think about this, let alone Aeria actually do something about it.

Weekend rewards are glitched, hackers are invading, the MEEBO is still down (how are we supposed to use this great profile/communication system if you guys leave it broken for weeks?)

I know my money is just a drop in the bucket to you Aeria, but I won't be contributing any more "drops" to your bucket until some details are straightened out around here. Check my spending account to see how much a "drop" you'll be losing out on over little stuff that could be easily addressed.

I didnt want to believe it before, and I admit I used to laugh at what I call "the doomsayers" and those elements of the community that always complain and say "the game is dying" and all that... I just buy AP, keep playing, and look for the signs in the details.

Guess what? Your game is dying. Population dropping, log in count dropping, facebook likes dropping. Aeria is dropping the ball, and the game community is gonna drop YOU. It makes me mad as **** that Aeria knows these figures and is choosing to act like nothing is wrong. In the real world thats how you lose customers.

Stop deleting my posts. It actually only shows that you have fear of the message in it, making the population leave QUICKER, and stop spending money FASTER. It's impossible for the community to notice that you'd rather try to hide this post than actually do some REAL work on the game that we spend REAL MONEY on.

Just a note for those that are reading this in the Rants and Raves section. This is specifically regarding Repulse.

@p0pey - First of all, I understand your pain. There's a reason why I stopped playing Repulse, a reason why I stopped spending money on Repulse, and a reason why I no longer plan on applying to Repulse if GS Apps ever open again.

Unfortunately, to undermine your post a little bit, Aeria is in control of very few of these things. The ones they do have control over, they simply don't have the manpower to implement.

The majority of the issue is not at all related to Aeria's management. Queen's Soft has a history of doing nothing to support this game. Genesis A.D. died because QS did nothing when a lot of these issues came up with Ijji's community. When Aeria first got Repulse, we had quite a bit of support from the developers. Once we entered Open Beta / Commercial Release, we had weekly maintenances (albeit not regularly scheduled). We had the ping kick removed, and we had a server added (admittedly, it flopped, but whatever).

Unfortunately, we haven't had a maintenance in months, which means no content updates. The guys who were testing hacks out a while ago gave up on the game as far as making any money on it. The anti-hack system is a joke, the client-side hit detection only further demonstrates the uselessness of GameGuard. We also haven't gotten any new maps, as was implied by the poll from a few months ago, but none of these are things that Aeria can control.

What can be controlled:
- Promotions (Recent changes have shown improvement, but not much)
- Community Communications (No improvement here, but it's a small community, and there are no updates)
- Events (But why pour resources into a low-revenue game, when there are new transition titles coming in, and RotT doing a new beta phase, and at least 1 GM from Action just left)

I mean, they are trying to improve their humanpower, and honestly, those things that they can address would do little more than please the small percentage of people that pay enough attention to the forums. It can't fix an ultimately broken (or breaking) game, since that relies on the devs.

As far as weekend rewards, I poked a GM about the previous rewards being awarded in future weeks a while ago, and they said everything was working as intended. I'm assuming that at some point, those rewards expired, and are no longer given out.

As far as Meebo, I always disable it, so I don't miss it, but given meebo's general instability and the tinkering with the website, I'm not surprised.

Isn't it a little early to be trying to exorcise the demons we call developers?

Give it some time :/

Beginning of this year.

According to the GameServerStatus logs, the last time the servers went offline (completely) was April 10th, for 2 minutes. It was a random disconnect.

The last time the servers went offline for any significant amount of time was March 22nd, from 7:02pm to 7:32pm (EDT).

Before that, March 13th, from 6:02pm to 6:47pm (EDT)

There's no need to have 2 of the exact same thread open (despite the fact they have different titles.) Requesting lock
