I recently decided to play WT again after a long time away from it, and based on playing for a nice sum of hours I decided to give my feedback.
Overall I'm a bit disappointed, I've noticed the game has become less reliant on skills to win, and more on how much you spend on it.. I'm not saying "screw AP users", they can get AP if they want to, but, up until before Aeria took WT, it was never a problem. I found that it was absurdly difficult to play against someone with a cash character and cash wolf. As far as balance is concerned, I feel it could be a lot better. It feels as though non-paying players are being punished. AP Weapons I don't find a problem with, it's the AP Characters and Wolves and some of their bonuses that feel overpowered. Damage boosts, someone with that boost is incredibly hard to kill 1v1, there is really no point in even trying, since it takes them half as much shots to kill you compared to you killing them, you'd have to be insanely skilled at the game to beat them, and the "newby channel" isn't much help, since you can only go into for the first few levels. New players to the game obviously have no chance of winning against someone like that, and it would feel overwhelming to play the game, which in cases could lead to them quitting.
In a nutshell, I have no problem with AP items, I just find the bonuses that AP Characters and Wolves get are a bit overpowered and makes the game "newby punishing" and makes the game less about skills, and more about getting the bonuses that come with AP items.
Suggestion: Make channels according to k/d ratio, 0.00-0.50, 0.51-1.00 and so on, I think it would make the game more friendly to newer players, since the "newby channel" doesn't really help much.
Anyways, thats all I have time for, gotta go to my friends wedding.
