Since I have applied for GS I have gotten a bunch of crap. It started with a player who alot of people know as K-M. Him and 2 others were cussing up a storm in trade chat after people including a GS told him to stop. I even said that I was ss'ing and going to report if they didnt stop. They kept going so I reported them. So K-M gets banned then flames me on the feedback post sayin that I stick my head too much in trade chat. Well, not my fault, if you follow ToS there would be nothing to ss and report. And I put that in the feedback thread. 2nd thing was getting accused of multiaccounting for support votes. So I had to defend myself on that as well. I dont need to cheat by multiaccounting for votes. If you have to do that then you obviously know you're not gonna get it and need to cheat to get it, and in that you dont deserve it. Then I get a pm from Reikikyo (Amaranth) an ex-GS that got his tag stripped for exploits then a year after he gets gs stripped for exploit he admits on forums to exploiting the free loot box by creating 20 accounts to get a swift lapis. He tells me why he thinks I wont get GS. His 2 reasons were 1: cuz I have defended myself on a forum post that obviously allows flaming, when he himself had quite a few posts defending himself in the feedback forum. Hyprocrate much? 2nd was becuase my signature was a little too big. Then tells me how he has all the GM's on his YIM and hes trained like 15 GS's and he knows exactly what the GM's are going to do. Newsflash, you're not a GM you dont know what they are going to do. In regards to people flaming me on the feedback post. Then I post a support for iNaughtyQQ and reasons why and a nonsupport for Amaranth, and reasons why and I get bashed for what others saying was ok to do to me. Again hyprocrate much? Yes, I will defend myself. Im not a punk, I wont let someone publicly bash me in my real life, nor will I allow it on an online game, without defending myself. I like the game, I have fun with the game. But, I also adhere to ToS. And will turn in anyone breaking ToS. That might make me a harda-s, but I dont care. I have had a few pm's in game saying that they like the fact that I'm a harda-s and thats what Lailah AoL needs is a harda-s GS. Not someone who is going to let people get away with things, and not one who is going to let to community walk all over them. This is who I am..take it or leave it. I help people alot in game. I help answer questions. If I was GS, I would do events everytime I had the AP to do so, but I wouls also warn and report people as necessary. And those people that get reported can be pissed off at me all they want because if they weren't breaking the rules there wouldn't be a report to make. There are 3 current Lailah AoL GS's that actually help, do events, and try to keep public chat clean and those are [GS]Gris-Gris, [GS]NISMO, and [GS]Kaicakes. The other GS's you never see do anything. And are probably only GS's for the AP, and proably use the ap for themselves because other than the 3 I listed the other never do events, so where is that AP going? Myself, as I said, I would continue to help people as I do now, I would do events everyday if I could, but I would be a harda-s when needed to be. Now if yall have a problem with it, you can post here where I can actually defend myself since the the feedback post is actually a flame and no defense post

How is putting a group of people in front of thousands of people for open season while having their mouth bolted shut constructive? please do explain because ill call you on that any day. Please do look at the meaning of the word constructive before you add that and allow people to bash the GS apps..

honestly i dont care what you nor anyone else thinks at this point.. this game has turned into nothing but a bash fest of people while the gms open a post to allow it and then delete anything someone says to stand up for their self. So explain to me how that helps?

I do not have any interest in the GS applicants on your server. However there is an old saying 2 wrongs don't make a right. Let it go and if you feel you have been done wrong (or your husband) send in a ticket.

MrHill, I am sorry to hear you are getting negatory comments from people for you GS app. However one thing you should keep in mind is that in the role of GS, negatory comments towards you is something you will most likely run into every now and again. You just have to remember to not let them get to you, and if needed SS & report any rude behavior as needed.

& there is no problem with defending yourself when others are accusing you of false accusations, but remember since you have applied as a community volunteer, your best responses are appropriate and not ones that stoop to the aggravators level so to speak .

& one last note, I realize that not all GS's can be on when we need them, but I can promise you non of them do the role of community volunteer for anything except to help out their community & fellow players. So while not all Lailah GS's may be doing events 24/7 doesn't mean they aren't helping in other ways .

Keep your spirits up, & try to not let things get to you.

Issues I have with this post:

1) Please no player bashing
2) If you are having problems now with criticism from people and feeling like you have to defend every action you take, if you become a GS, You're going to have a bad time
- A GS's position is highly public and you will receive criticism all the time... and of course those infamous flame-ings in PMs and/or Trade chat where you can not respond in such a way as you are doing here... instead you have to roll with the punches and "defend" yourself with ToS and F12 + contact us
3) This post should be under Rants and Raves, not general discussion
4) Assuming just because you do not see a GS active in TC, that they are doing nothing. GSes are from all over the world and have real lives as well, so just because you never see one might just mean they are in a different time zone than you.
5) As for "being in it just for the AP" .... being a GS would not be worth the trouble that it is.
6) It is not required for GS to do events... rather its when the GS would like to reward the community or want to liven up PvP etc that they do events.

Thats what this post is for..since people have a problem with me running for GS because I wont allow people to walk over me or bash me w/o defending myself, and have a problem with me trying to maintain game rules, in which I'm not supposed to respond on the feedback post then is my only alternative.

I have no personal investment in who becomes GS for your server, what I do see is that your husband does not have the calm rational personality required of a GS because when you get tags you become a target for every issue that happens in this game from the servers crashing to guilds monopolizing play areas grinding or boss farming. He cant handle it.

Being a GS isnt about running events which you both seem to have highlighted, it is about serving the player community - it is not about policing and reporting, it is about setting an example for others to follow and being available to assist others. It is about being able to calm an inflammatory situation, not throwing fuel on the flames. Events are part of it if a GS chooses for it to be. Many GSs are not up front in trade but are available for players who ask for assistance. Some GSs strengths are in the forums, some is organization, some is player interaction - you cannot in any way be aware of what a GS is doing or not doing.

In regards to the GMs asking you about the GSs on your server, please feel free to send a ticket on any issues you have with your current GS team. Other than that, every GS is required to send in detailed report of their activities each month. Failure to show that they are a beneficial member of the GS team results in them being removed from the programme
