contest winners

GS should be prohibited from winning any contests since they are part of the staff, in most contests i have seen employees and their families are prohibited from winning any contests held by the company. allowing them to win shows/gives the illusion of favoritism and a lack of integrity. GS are already compensated for thier services they provide and it should only be fair that only regular players have the chance at winning any such contests

GS are not staff or employees of AGE they are volunteers, its not at all fair to say just cause they volunteer to help out the community with title of Game Sage that they shouldn't be allowed to participate in events, after all they are just players of the game too.

I have to disagree, while i do understand your point, we aren't exactly "staff", and by doing so we would be separated from the rest of the community which i believe most of us don't want that. I still see, and would like to continue to see, GSes being considered players first of all. And we don't get any favoritism on any event just because we are GS, thats a wrong assumption if someone makes it.

However i do like this topic, knowing everyones elses opinion on this would be great.

GS's should be allowed to participate in events but not be allowed to recieve the prizes from it. They get enough stuff for being a GS. ofcourse they should be able to have some fun in events but if they win, their price should be given out to someone else.

Perhaps the effort exerted in participating in events can be refocused on creating events. But no, that would be too logical...

I personally have no objections to GS taking part in my Own events generally, apart from Unsung Heroes of course as the whole point of that is for unrecognised normal players without tags etc,

However for my other events I don't see why not. My decisions are totally unbiased be it friend or GS I will make my decisions based on who I think deserves my prizes. I most definitely would never have bias for anyone with a tag. Makes no difference to me whatsoever.

I guess the only problem I see is that if a GM has an event and a GS wins many will see this as bias even if that is not the case. I guess a natural reaction.

I am aware that they get perks so to speak. However they only get these if they work for them.

Therefore personally I don't see anything wrong with them joining in the fun of an event. As long as decisions are completely unbiased why shouldnt they.

i think the GS's should be able to partake in events. I my best friend used to be a GS and the amount of work they do for the little bit of reward they did and or do get ( not sure if its true or not whatever ) but they should be able to get in on some of the action too they are players too and they deserve the chance to win something epic aswell

I guess they fall under the category of compensated volunteers. I felt overcompensated at the amount of work I did as a GS, but that's just me.

I wouldnt say MS's , thousands of AP and more is a bad reward for the work they do as a GS.

MSes? Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about. Let the knowledgeable ones talk, please. Thanks.
