Greetings! A class question if no one minds.

Hello! As you can probably tell, I'm rather new... I've been looking for a game to play casually for quite the while (at least I say casually, but I know it is going to turn super hardcore if I like the game) so... I was wondering, which classes would you all say are the lesser used? Currently I am interested in Necromancer, the whole hunter progression (I like guns, and an assassin class is always a pretty neat choice) and possibly Berserker since I'm guessing by the description, I can use big swords o3o I like big swords.

So...anyone mind telling me which of these classes (or just overall in general) are seen a less so than others? I don't really enjoy being one of a million .-. apologies if I'm being an annoying newb.

I thank you kindly for taking the time to respond and wish you a pleasant day!

As always, you should pick a class you like and fits your playstyle.
But if your only criteria is picking a class that is underused then it's Necromancer.
But that class is underused because it's a faulty class.

Thank you for your concern, but at this point, my play style (if I even have one) changes so much each game I play, it doesn't really matter at this point Razz over all I prefer versatility, a jack of all trades style character, but I don't really know if GF has one of those...does it? xD

Thank you kindly for the response.

RE:

Hi,
A jack-of-all-trades class would have to be sage. They have human for casting and healing.Bird for casting and a bit of healing.Wolf for dealing damage.Ape for tanking and putting accuracy debuffs on the enemy, however, apes IMO and what i've heard from others ape becomes better at higher levels

Thanks for the info, alas I don't really think I'm up for going anywhere near a healing archetype, seeing as I would have to be one before sage, thank you though ^^

I'm juggling Sharpshooter, Darkstalker and, Necromancer... I know Necromancer is the least used of those three, but I enjoy the aspects of each... any suggestions?

Thanks again for the responses.

Sharpshooter: Great at PvP in all brackets, fast to grind with. Can also solo certain dungeon bosses at level 66+.

Darkstalker: Sin is great in PvP until 61-70, where the lack of anti stun ''nerfs'' the class. At 71-85 they can be really OP, the class got great dmg. Requires more work to be really good at PvP. Easy to solo bosses with.

Demon: This class got some not working skills, talents and masteries. Until level 85, their PvP set is pretty useless. It's one of the more wanted classes in PvE, but it requires a lot of work to be good in PvP.

Thanks! Well...that just made me want to try each one, so...I'll do just that I suppose, if Demon is wanted in PvE that can open up several opportunities...but if DarkStalker can solo bosses, as can SharpShooter, that leaves more ways to make money to enhance Demons gear so it can be better at PvP...... @.@ Hm, I'm gonna need a minute lol

Thanks again though! That was a really informative and helpful post!

No problem, asking for a class is kinda hard, since any class can be really great, depends on the player. That's pretty basic and I hope you find the class that fits you better. :3

I know what you mean, and if no one minds one last question, which of the three classes would be a bit easier for a newbie to start off as? Sharpshooter, DarkStalker or, Demon? I feel that Demon would be the hardest, but I can't really put my finger on DarkStalker/Sharpshooter, they both seem to be good... @.@ Just wondering of course, If I'm not pestering anyone.

Apologies, and thanks again.

Sharpshooter (ranger) is the easiest to start off with imo. They attack from range and they can normally kill a mob before it reaches them and they can solo fast. In pvp they are fairy easy too just pew pew pew. They can do well with orange and pvp armor sets. Nerco (demon) are probably the hardest to get good at. I played a nerco to lvl 32 (not very far I know) but they are squishy and if a mob attacks first you can lose a big chunk of HP. They need legacy armor so they are not as squishy. In pvp they are challenging too. DarkStalker (assassin) are probably in the middle. I have a lvl 70 darkstalker. They are easy to solo with in pve and can solo bosses with the right gear. Orange and pvp armor sets are the best legacy isn't very good. In pvp they are a bit hard to learn to max their potential however.
