So, the other day, I was digging through some of my old stuff.. and found my old computer that I bought back in 1998 (yes 1998. It's already older than some people reading this). It was a compaq presario. Let's see if I can remember the specs.

Pentium 2 Processor 700 Mhz
64 MB SD RAM ( at least that's what I think it is)
8 GB IDE HDD
No graphics card.

Then I took a look inside my current computer, and decided to take the following pics.

Exhibit 1 : The different types of memory devices I have now



Exhibit 2 : Two Drives, of nearly the same space. Take a look at the difference in size. Also, the one on the left weighs about 3 pounds.. and has two solid aluminum plates about a quarter inch thick each. (Oh, the exact space of each drive after formatting is IDE = 7.45 GB, and Flash = 7.56 GB)


Exhibit 3 : I held them both in my hands just to give you guys a perspective of how big each is.



And finally Exhibit 4 : The actual Processor. I put my mouse into the frame to show you actually how big it is.






Technology. You gotta love it.

PS : I kept the 8 GB Hard Drive. It's an antique! Also a possible murder weapon. (threw out the cabinet though)

Woah! You had an 8gb hard drive at '98!?
That must have been what an 800 terabyte hd would be today... 99% empty.

My father bought our first pc at '99, it had windows 98 ofc and i remember that day he let me and my sister pick a game each. My choice was metal gear solid and my siter's was donald duck: quack attack(<-best game ever ).

Still got my N64 <3 and a Pikachu version!

Nintendo 64... I think I still have my old 64 lying around somewhere.. I'll take a few pics of it and post it as well.. Lol. But the processor that I posted is about the same size as a nintendo 64 game cartridge. Lol. I also used to have that game where you could actually speak to Pikachu... "Hey you Pikachu!" iirc.
