they have a timer when the bomb has been planted, they have hp bars from both teams, they have built-in fraps etc.

These are from a spectator mode the Korean version of SF has, not actual gameplay.

Alot of Europeans play in US clans as whell, so they would be forced to search for a European clan if they wanted to participate.

In the 2011 National Tournament, EU players could not make teams with US clans and participate. If a player from EU wanted to participate, it had to be with four other players from Europe. My point still stands, if they're going to treat EU as a separate community then why not allow them to have their own tournament?

Big +1 to the EU part. I've campaigned for such a long time trying to get this to happen but noone ever responds. I've contacted dragonfly, IJJI and Aeria yet I can never seem to get a decent response.

These are pretty legit questions you got there. I can't answer most except:
3. GSs will serve as your bridge of communication between the playerbase and GMs. And oftentimes the GMs themselves come around and post or chat. Aeria is really good about this kind of stuff.

7. Probably not :/

And how does one go about becoming a GS? I've always played a big role in the competitive scene through both communicating with the GMs about various ways to improve it as well as competing in World Championships, so something like GS is very appealing to me.

Re: Questions concerning the switch to Aeria

1. I've already read that the characters, GCoins, and in game items were being transferred with the servers, but will the clan names be transferred as well, or will they be wiped?

2. Since Aeria already hosts another version of SF (with its server located in Texas), will the two clients merge and show four servers when launching the game, or will they be treated as separate versions like they are now?

3. One of the main problems players had with ijji was the lack of communication between the admins and the community. How does Aeria plan to develop a means of communication with the players, other than posting upcoming updates?

4. For many competitive players, one of the main reasons to play is the US National Tournament. Will Aeria help give more incentive to compete by hosting tournaments other than the national tournament? If not, will Aeria be willing to work with players on setting up prizes for player-made tournaments?
(If a GM reads my post and is willing to work with me on this please message me!)

5. Every year in the Special Force World Championships at least one country has been allowed to send two teams to represent their countries while the rest could only send one due to there being an odd number of countries participating. 2011 was the first year Europeans were allowed to compete in the US National Tournament. Will this open the doors to two separate tournaments for US and EU? Having this discussion with Dragonfly could be very promising to players all over Europe and the EU community would grow substantially if given the opportunity to compete.

6. SF has been available to the US for over 5 years now, yet it's still very far behind other versions in terms of content. This ranges from maps, characters, items, to functions such as updated replay tapes, a 'switch sides' button, tournament mode (setting the timer to 2:30 instead of 3:30), and many many more things. Will Aeria push for such content updates that the community has been asking about for years?
(This is a thread I posted in 2009 addressing the replay tape issue)

7. Is there any chance I can recover the original forum name Whitenamese on these forums? I checked the profile and it seems the account was created for the sole purpose of having my name, seeing as it has no posts and has been inactive since the day it was created.

If any GM reads or responds to this, thank you!

I'm not a GM but I'd like to give you some info Andrew

3. I can assure you right now, there will be ALOT more clear communication between players and Aeria staff than we did with ijji staff.

4. Yes, I'm pretty sure they're willing to help. Trust me.
