I keep DCing

I keep dcing on my Windows 7 computer, i've done pings and it all says "request timed out" or '4 out of 3 packets sent" or it just says "4 out of 4 packets sent". I've tried other servers and get the same thing. I've even reinstalled but I still DC within a minute of game play. What should I do?

How is your internet connection normally? Can you browse the web fast and download items at a decent rate?

i suspect that your connection is not stable. Can you do a tracert instead of a ping to see where the connection drops off ? ( do it at least 3 times, because the results can differ )

If you want, ss those 3 results and post it, that i can look on it. What's the average time that you need to connect to the servers (ping command to the log in server : 174.142.118.105 ) ? It should be less then 50ms.

my connection is typically great, I'll try to reboot my router though.
This is the link to the ss of the tracert: http://imgur.com/5xN4q

The average time to connect to the server is 43ms. Could that be the problem?

lol, why did you used the 10.0.0.1 ? that's a default gateway... The internet is behind that Razz

i meant to use tracert to the next P address
Code:
tracert 174.142.118.105

that's the aeria server. IF the connection drops during the tracert, then the problem is not at you, but somewhere between you and the servers in canada.

OHHH ooops haha.
I did the tracert and the connection must be dropping on my end since it didn't cut out when I was doing it. Should I put a link to the results anyway?

then the problem is not at your end but at the internet. There is one solution ( well in fact, 2, but it's quite technical ) : you have to contact your ISP to inform them that you are experiencing problems with having a stable connecting to the aeria servers in Canada. Mention that you can access but that the connection tends to drop off directly and thus that it's hard to keep the connection active.

Maybe they will set a stable proxy for you, which should solve this problem.
