AP Gifting

???
So, I was gifted AP for making a big purchase for a friend of mine, and now my account is suspended for "security reasons". Now, one, I'm not against security measures but I think they're taken too far sometimes. And two, what is the deal for suspending this transaction when I AUTHORIZED IT?

the problem is that the billing dept. cannot check the authorization of the transaction. Let's say that i'm using my dad's card to get AP without telling it. I can get the AP while it's not authorized by the owner of the card.

Well, i agree that the security system is having some weird moments, like blocking accounts where the owner name is same as the name on the credit card. But in your situation, you have used your card for some1 else, and it's high likely that it could be flagged.

To solve it, you have to send in a ticket to the billing dept. : contact us - billing inquiries
