Listening To Movies

Makes the time pass
I've started doing this thing at work to make the time pass faster...
what I did is I took my favorite films and stripped the audio from them, then compressed it into an MP3 file....so while I'm working I'm listening to a full length movie....it's kinda neat

Anyone else done that?

Any movie you think would be cool to "listen to" instead of just watching?
I'm running low on movie idea's :3 im kinda doing re-runs atm XD

I've also noticed that my imagination seems to be heightened or more active than when I just watch the video....because I have to "imagine" what's taking place....tis interesting

Should try it

I usually have the tv or a movie on while am playing, I don't watch it as such just listen to the audio. And yes it does help to pass the time better, especially while am grinding, it helps to reduce the boredom !!

Try listening to sci-fi and fantasy movies, that's fun !!

Grateful thanks to PupsiK for the awesome sigs !!

I've done this, where you listen to movies while doing other things without watching. I tend to do it with dramas so I do not have to really see what is happening.

Dramas are good, but I like watching comedies. Usually ones that don't have sight gags, but that tends to be sitcoms and stand up comics. When it comes to actual movies, I've listened to the Star Wars Trilogy (IV,V, and VI) and the Invention of Lying.

I'd be too tempted to watch the movie instead, haha. I'm more of a podcast guy myself.

Only with comedies and things I've already seen before. If I haven't seen it I'd be too tempted to stop and watch it. Oh and I have to add audio books to the list too. I've been catching up on the "Song of Ice and Fire" series.

I am currently getting into audio books. Although like Flarin said about the movies, I think if the book is like Harry Potter or LoTR or the Wheel of Time I'd start getting into it and I would be a whole lot less productive. Although I still want to attempt it Very Happy

LOTR - 9+ hrs to just lose yourself in the gameplay, and let the movie wash over in the background. And the only distraction is having to change disks, which is ok cos it gives me a reason to make a coffee or whatever !!
