Okay so I am a HM mage. At the moment I am lvl 66. Everyone tells me that most mages on Shaiya are not uber and are almost always squishy. But!...I want to show them I can be uber. I know it has more to do with the armor but does anyone know what the build should be? Any opinions and tips are greatly appreciated. ^-^ tyvm! <3

Well, without sugarcoating, here's the skinny.

You will never be as powerful as anyone with equal gear. You can be pretty "uber", but only against people in lesser gear. Toe to toe with any other class with someone with just as many enchants and Lv7s, you're toast.

That said, full DPS. No other build will have significant effect in PvP.

As for links, I've always found it to be an odd question. Lv7s, Life, Absorb, Eles, and Sonic, of course

500-600 Luc and as much Int and attack power as possible, but don't forget your HP and elements. They are what are going to keep you alive, not Rec.

I know I'm necroing this thread but I've attempted to be an Uber HM mage. People were even able to identify me even after I name changed due to my uber gear.

My word of advice, invest just a little more and build up a UM mage. I saw a significant amount of difference between my HM 70 mage and UM 70 mage. If you are willing to invest into making a Uber HM mage, you will be 100 times more satisfied making an Uber UM mage.

Most other classes, you can pass as an HM mode. For mage, you'll fall short no matter what you do.

The gap will increase by nature with every new level rise like the upcoming lv 80 border
