about resist.
let put it this way: 1-15 get strong hitting pagan (600-700MA) and oppose against him nub war wearing 2double wit 75+100 extra resist helmet (350 actual resistance) add him [6] absorption(not much) on every piece of gear 120 absorption and u will deal him damage around 100...... but ..... he just gave 2 slots on his helmet... on other slots he may be full str so he will give u around 800 dmg. but to get 600-700attack u have to be almost full int means ur dead thats -RAYA- 70K kills in 1-15. and i'm not takling about being full worship+ nossed nub but just fighter.
next. Against end game bosses tactics is only solution even wise Orcs die from AOE if not properly protected with appropriate skill. If u say that bosses are resistance based lowering their calculated protection by half just will make them much easier to kill by caster class.

Magic Attack/Resist

Make the forbids to have same DEF as the wits Resist or make a helmet lapis that gives 75-100 (like Wit) DEF, thats it... now its too late to take out wit lapis, or a better idea its to make it the same ammount of Resist than the Forbids, lvl 5 Wit = 24 Resist. Will make low pvp much more balanced.

Balance = Player Retention

ep3 was very profitable for Aeria and fun for the players
If I remember right when ep3 was here the servers were 'busy' and the lower maps were full. It seems the major changes instituted in ep4 were the changes in the dd1, dd2 portal system which allowed both factions access to the maps 100% of the time and also the elimination of the 7 level party restrictions. These 2 items or variations would seem to be an easy thing to bring back.

1. make dino/desert maps limited to level 60s and below so that people could grind there without 70s coming for easy kills. It would also require players to work together instead of soloing for level 6's and relegate 61-70s to the new maps.

or

1. make the Karis relics the key to opening the portals so only one faction has access at any time forcing high levels to pvp in Karis to gain access to the other embedded maps in desert/dino.

or

1. make dino/desert non-pvp like the auction house.

2. re-institute level restrictions/penalties with the 7 level max difference in levels. This would mean that veteran players alts would have to grind instead of plvl thereby increasing the number of players in lower maps and increasing retention of new players who could then find parties, make friends, etc.

People stay because they have an emotional/time investment in something. Going from 1-60 through plvl greatly decreases that 'investment'. Being always alone grinding also decreases the 'investment'.

I've played this game for a bit and it seems that a balance between paying and non-paying players is desirable. Aeria I think was a bit short-sighted in giving the paying players so much advantage over everyone else. I'm sure they did what they needed to for their business, but I think in some ways more volume of players potentiates the profits for Aeria in a way that we're not able to calculate. History might hold the answers for them in the future.

Balance.
I think what scares of most (new) players is being owned by others with one or two blows before they can even respond to anything.
There shoudn't be such a great difference in strength/speed between players and even between different levels. Everyone should have a fair chance of escape or victory.
Shaiya shouldn't be a race about who spends the most money, because every race has just a few winners and a lot of loosers and drop-outs, wich would mean the end of the game.
In the interest of the stability and future of Shaiya is it better to have a lot of players that spend a normal amount of money on the game, instead of a few hardcore players that spend a lot. In the end they wil drop-out to if there is no one left to kill.

Give priests HA back. Long dead subject but wanted to throw that out again.

Fighters using duals need more skills. Duals are dead because major skills were taken from them, like Demon Hushing.

Control high level balance by restricting new players on servers from joining the dominant faction.

last wont work, friends like to play w/ friends and if server is dominated cant say your sol

Bring back the old version of Lv 60/70 skills with % dmg please more kills... then we can actually kill REC builds.

Like ppl said Mage need more good skills.
I spam magc arrow 90% of the time..
What I think its a joke skill
1st Nemisis.Its a 70 UM mage/Pagan skill and the skill suck soo bad
2nd ground schock. It makes you lower your attack speed by 5lvl for 18 second.. and its not pottable and the recharge time is ONLY 10 second. Really?
3rd Charge. This skill will make less point of being mage/archer from being able to hit from far away.
4th Day Fly and Untouchable. These skill Recharge time is tooo Fast make it to 600 sec atleast.
