Faction changes like last one usually just help a ball rolling. (At least for Etain it does)

I checked enhanced rankings. And I can see at least a dozen (likely more) fury endgame players who had been inactive in pvp for months suddenly return to pvp at the end of januari. It's not just 1 player, it's a significant shift in activity levels.

It's not odd though, or hard to understand. It's much more enjoyable to be on the winning team. If light raids break up more easily, players log off faster. The players are all still there, the shift in balance just tilts numbers to what it is now.

The only people whom I feel sorry for though, are the lvl 60-69 light players who are suddenly facing a much tougher ride to 70.

Why not? You'd switch for many many reasons. Boredom, lack of any PvP, etc. Playing the dominanting faction tends to be a lot more dull than playing the outnumbered faction.

Take the Teos example from the summer of 2010 which is slightly different from Etain. Fury were outnumber by between ten to fifteen to 1 (I was one of the outnumbering faction)

FC came out and due to a) boredom b) personal reasons several AoL FCed, mainly from 1 guild initially. This gave Fury more heart to fight, so a few that hadn't PvPed much came back, and well more people to fight with, a few months later another wave of Lights FCed this time at 70 and from the top AoL guild in the main, this gave Fury a more than fighting chance at bosses, so much so that the server for a small period was turned on its head, even though the numbers hadn't overall changed "that" much.

Yes a different scenario to Etain (invasion didn't exist/wasn't the main source of kills) at the time on Teos. There have been similar short to mid-term results on all 3 of the more AoL dominanted servers, although Teos has now gone bad that is due to numbers, but in all 3 cases, the AoL suddenly hit an issue, the opposite faction being the issue at bosses NOT an opposing guild from the same faction. Bosses became not about KSing but about fighting for the room first.

Yeah it's hard for a lot of us to level but that makes 70 so much more rewarding. I guess I'm more upset about the constant QQ in trade chat all day. I turn it off but people are constantly complaining about it. Our pvpers have been a lot more active the last week. People can't say that they aren't leveling because I've gone from 53-56 on my UM priest in the last week. It's possible. Just not nearly as easy as it was before the Faction Change. PvP is going to get interesting ^_^ thanks for the information GS's

Great conversation here. I never had a problem with 3k ppl actually u guys all had me in your party in TR alot. And maybe uof in vr got worse but when i level to 70 it was bad too.

From what i see UoF have greater ranks even before FC.Theres alot more aol to feed on. I once looked on etain standings and it was all mostly Momento mori ppl.

I wasnt aware that u 3krs left cause u wernt liked i just thought u left for easy kills .Thats great i dont have any bad feelings towards anyone.

Im not a very well funded char on Etain.But u know what i originally wanted to just take 5 hits before i died. I think im at about 8 hitd lol unless its CT or hesti theres a few others tht really kill me fast. I might not be the best pvpr in the world but whatever i like to play.

its allways seemed like theres alot more better geared ppl on UoF so naturally we have to throw more numbers at u. and mebe u do play better with each

i really dont think theres much skill involved in this game personally.And u dont need to farm anything you just buy it .u cant farm 3x max ojs.Ive spent a total of 500$ on this gameand im not even close to half way done with 70 gears.You can really tell whos spent alot of money on this game its obvious bye what u do in pvp.

id like to see your ap bills and u can tell the ppl who dont have alot too they die fast.Its just about money not skill.

its funny this game keeps ramping up gears to some insane lvl for what.I thought it was for rotco idk never done it yet. And then what for the next episode alll that money u spent on your gear whoooosh down the drain.Maybe then it will even out for a little while till you finish your 80 gear with 2000 $ in ap.

I have a great time against incredible odds lol. This game is a really quite simple game to play its a tiny litle fishbowl.with alot of goldfish and some big piranhas

Aol didnt just lose 3krs in FC alot of aol pvprs have dissappeared so ya no one to drive eof outta vr . I show up all the time to annoy u guys at TP i love slowing u or get u to agro Guards abd magic arrow u .Oh yes i die alot . i love u guys talking trash all the time and oh i just play along lol . and i personally love it when u camp in the tent cause i love Bunnies .

i think the real problem is Gear people who dont spend alot are crap ppl who spend alot are the best. theres things in this game u will never get if you dont spend alot of ap.Ive spent more on this free game than i paid to play Wow theres just a big disparity in gears

lvling to 70 can be done amidst all the invading. I was able to level my UM from 56-70 in 2 weeks time...learning grinding paths in the more challenging mobs. In Fact, I lvl'd my UM a few times in PR as an option...it all depends on those who are willing to do what it takes to get the results they want.

Tactically speaking, I have seen an improvement of lights finding alternate mobs to lvl at instead of the killing fields of boars, bears/wolves...but only some. There needs to be more people out there to show the 60+ ppl HOW and WHERE to grind and WHEN.

Etain told gaia to ST*U about faction changes when lights' top guild went dark. I am reflecting that back to them. They can deal with it like gaia had too, and learn to, idk WORK TOGETHER like we had to.

They can't be ok with it on the one hand and then hate it when it effects them.
