Item unbound

I think it would be nice to be able to get rid of something that u don't want anymore and not have to throw it away, store it, or give it to an alt. it would be better to just unbound it from your character and sell it. That will rack in money and give more room for storage.

Lol omg I've thought about this too lol but im not sure it's a good idea. I'd like to see people's feedback since I kinda like the idea but at the sometime i feel like it's not such a good idea.

If saving space is what one's looking, they have the inventory. But it'd be a nice idea to make money lol so I guess it goes both ways xD

+1 on this. Make it an AP item. The idea has been used in other games (the higher the level/quality of the item, the more of X AP item it takes to unbound it).

thx kitty kit kat ^_-

COuld make it a NT item so they make more money off it without ppl farming for gold??? BUt that would make it harder for the younger ppl who aren't allowed to buy stuff...

Ideas?

Hrmm, if it was NT that would means it would be available via AP only, dropped by something in game, or mclay tables. Its pretty obvious what would happen if something dropped it in-game (farm farm farm @_@). AP only would be nice for Aeria but not everyone buys AP as you mentioned. Mclay tables...well, technically it would be fair but that's almost the same as just making the item itself tradeable.

I'd vote for keeping it tradeable unless there's a better way to circulate it without having it farmed or becoming very exclusive =p

Binding systems exist in MMORPGs to promote gold sinking, crafting for gold, expenditure of resources and use of "premium" items. The binding system exists to prevent people from selling gear that is no longer useful for them but high demand for lowbies. This ensures proper lifecycles for each generation.

While removing bind is usually thought up by inexperienced players... People who are veterans to the craft or who have run mmorpgs before will vote against it.

I see where you're coming from on that and to be honest I can't really fault the logic behind 2/3rds of it. Still feels like a waste to throw away a perfectly good 40 set just because you are 50+. Any ideas on how to turn that into something useful?

I just hate the fact that Vanity items are bound. There is no reason for that at all. What kind of game does that? I'd like to see a scroll made for this. It's not like unbinding something will have a huge effect on anything. You will have to pay money for it so it's not like everyone will just be able to unbind everything they have. And what does it matter even if they could? They just sell it to someone who wants it. It would really only be useful at a high enough level and useful for vanity items.

Binding of vanity will promote more players to try out mclay or buy using AP. I also prevents flooding of vanity items. If unbinding were allowed then a vanity could be flooded and the market on that vanity would be ruined

Flooding already happens. I just really don't see the point on a vanity item. Money is spent on that and then you can't do anything with it once you use it once. Either way if a scroll is made, it won't flood the market anymore than it is already. I've never had a problem with a binding system on any game, except here. I have an obsession when it comes to vanity items and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. I have a few extra sets I could sell, but they're bound. Still want to see this happen.
