Titan Skill Expansion / Balance

My thoughts...
This is mainly my thoughts regarding the Highlander skill expansion, if a lvl 160+ WM wants to comment about there expansion later then by all means go ahead.

Id like to point out what i think was an ok additon VS those that were either not needed or completely laughable.

SKILLS:

Wild Axe lvl3

This skill increased from 200% to 400%, its a very nice addition and allows a Highlander to mob alot better then before and with a high enough weapon you can kill large groups quite fast. Well worth getting.

Axe Crasher lvl7

Upgrading Crasher was a nice move, its one of the more unique HL skills and too see it reach 750% is more then i could have expected. The only shame is that the bleed effect is still completely USELESS.. -8hp/s is not noticable anywhere, if there were enough HLs id petition for Crashers bleed to be changed to a 1s stun.

Trick Swing lvl4

I am disapointed with this skills expansion.. yes it casts faster then crasher but it also has a cool down time 3x longer.. I expected atleast 700% for this skill since axe crasher had gained 300%. The other thing i am unhappy with is the fact Warmasters lvl 102 skill gained 150% power wheras HLs only gaiend 100%. Worth getting for when we have 100% cast but it remains a disapointment to me.

Spin Chop lvl4

Great skill, with haste 2 you can spam many more spin chops per minute then wild axe's so with the damage increasing from 300% to 500% this skill will allow HLs and WMs alike to mob and own fairly large groups in record time.

Scream of Highlander

They have increased this from 1000mp to 1500mp and also increased the duration from 30minutes upto 1 hour.. nothing more to say other then its a very nice addition.

Concentrate Attack lvl4

ahahahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *cough*

Seriously.. better addition would have been to make fatal blow a dam critical hit skill like the skill description implies. This skill is an utter waste of time in LC USA, raising the lvl of it for us is sheer nonsense.

Control Mastery 2 lvl3

Again.. a complete fail of a skill expansion for LC USA, this adds +100 crit.. but with the way the game is currently and the difficulty of the monsters you either need to always be using a critical potion or a cast potion for 100% cooldown and perma cast.. both options make your critical passives / accessories pointless.

A much much much better addition would have been Adrenaline Mastery lvl7 for HL to bring our attack speed down to 12 and perhaps another lvl of focus mastery for WMs for some much needed hitrate.


This is just my point of view, tbh this is nowhere near skill balance / class balance.

It makes no sense that weaker skills have higher MP costs and higher cooldown times of much stronger skills.. it makes your class a 1 trick pony when it comes to 100% cast.

Great job, and i totally agree on what we share in common, concentrate atack is such a joke, i got that skill because i still have fate something will be done with it.

Mmmmm, personally I think they ignored a few skills that actually do need to be changed.

The level 47 Highlander skill cannon spike is still utterly useless, and the war master skills fire command and bellow are still fixed in terms of boosting and debuffing.

Concentration of Attack they just put make up on in an attempt to cover up the fact it is probably the most butt ugly skill in the game.

Also, Down Stroke is a very weak skill for it's level for both classes, and now it is not even worth getting at all, they should of tinkered with that and made it a more appealing skill instead of a joke.

I could go on and on, but if titans got messed with the way I would like they would be the next Nightshadow.

The thing is with this game the decimals dont round down.. so even if a HL actualy has 12.1 speed it seems to round back up to 13.

Adrenaline mastery lvl7 would lower use into the 11.xxx's so it would round upto 12.

And i agree with you Clanker.

Cannon Spike 2 should have had the same bonus's as Power Magnum 2 for the WMs, it should be a 400% Crit skill, not a skill that currently for me does 20k (Crasher 330k).

I have a feeling tho that fatal blow was supposed to be a critical skill since its described as such and is only 300% dmg, same as power magnum 2 released as.

Also yes no amount of changes will fix Concentrate attack , it needs to be scrapped and an actual attack buff like offense posture for a knight added in its place.

Down stroke needs to be a good 7-800% dmg for its high lvl and slow casting, also adding in the yet again 60s recast on our skills. (12s on most titans skills all the way to 172, while others enjoy no timers at all at 165, sigh)

When ever I see them stat "working as intended" it translates into my head "we have no idea how to fix it or are too lazy so just deal with it, not like you need it anyways, give us more monies!"

These skills would be alright if the other skills filled the same, boring mold like they do in World of Warcraft, unfortunately about 99% of the skills are % based of the characters magic or physical attack, so these fixed numbers do absolutely nothing for us. Also if the monster's defense didn't climb up as fast as the American National Debt as you leveled too.

Knight and NS have the same "bug" (knight with the 7% increase attack speed 157 weapon and NS with a lvl of darkness). Anyway if you use more increase attack speed buff/pot (adren, jag cheer, party pot, elem buff, soul...) it usually make you able to gain 1 more attack speed at some point.
