We are making this part of the application public, because it is best to know how the community will feel about new applicants BEFORE they are accepted. It is O.K. to ask for an endorsement... but if you pester them, they will naturally tell us that you are NOT a good candidate. An Ideal Game Sage candidate for the AeriaNow team is one that is active in the forums, and plays multiple browser games, including our Partnered Games. AeriaNow sages are most valued when they have at least familiarity with every one of our games, and should have adequate experience in at least 2-3. Ideal candidates are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and non-judgmental. We're looking for fun, friendly volunteers.

A volunteer can only be a member of one group... i.e. you can only be a GS for one game (including the forums).

For players who want to leave feedback:

As GameSages are a public volunteer position, it's perfectly acceptable for the community to leave their feedback on the applicants. This feedback from the community is a valuable asset to the GM team!

There are some ground rules, however:

All feedback must be constructive. If you're going to flame someone, expect it to be removed. No flames, no lulz pictures, and no "I VOTE FOR XYZ" without some real feedback. If you're an applicant and someone wrote something CONSTRUCTIVE but critical about you, like, "He tends to gang up on the smaller leagues a lot..." or, "He doesn't really write legibly", this is valid feedback and you are NOT allowed to argue about it. The GM team can tell the difference between a personal attack and valid points of feedback. This is a thread on feedback for APPLICANTS only. Well I have hosted a few events in game.... but most of my event hosting experience came from when I was an advisor for "World Of Kaneva".

I got a good bit of experience with helping people find their solution to their problem, I try my best to help in-game... i may not always have the solution, but i try to help in anyway i can. I gained most of my experience over the years of running teen forums.

To be totally honest... i dont really post on the forum... but am always logged in for info. But recently I have started posting.

A good GameSage is someone who is willing to help, active, and also a role model. GS are their to help answer questions and help members in anyway even how small the question may be, their are also their to have fun.
G. Why do you want to be a GameSage for AeriaNow (and not another)?
Because Aeria is a site that truly aspire me in many ways. I really want to be able to help people more than i currently can, i wanna put a smile on someones face when they need advance help.

B. What community contributions have you made that shows you would make a good game sage?

This is the second game that I have applied for as a GS. The first game was Metal Assualt and I was a GS there for about 3 months before I left the team due to school commitments. I was also a gamesage for Wolfteam for about one year before I left the team.

C. What experience do you have running/hosting organizational events?

During my experience as a gamesage I hosted countless events, in fact I like to think that I specialise in events and I enjoy hosting and running them. Most of my experience with events is with third person and first person shooters however I am always happy to try new idea's.

D. What experience do you have helping people find solutions to their problems?

Currently I am in my first year in a computer technician course so I have experience with technical issues. I have helped many people during my time as a GS and several of my threats are stickied in the technical sections.

E. What experience do you have with our forum community?

I have been at aeria for over 4 years, during that time I have come to know many of our community members on the forums. I have made over 2000 posts over the years and I will continue to be active in shoutboxes throughout the aeria game community.

F. Please give a short description of what you think a good GameSage does.

Even though I have been a gamesage before, I always find this is the hardest question on the application. I think this is so simply because a gamesage does too much to put down in writing. In general a gamesage is someone who helps make the game better, they do this by helping players, testing new content, hosting cool and engaging events, and helping take the load off of the game masters during things like maintenance or other times of high volume.

G. Why do you want to be a GameSage for AeriaNow (and not another)?

I have always liked the AeriaNow browser games and I have been active and helpful in nearly every single one (I belive a few of my guides are still stickies in some of the aeria now games). I feel that with the title of gamesage I can continue to help players who are new to browser games and improve the AeriaNow community as a whole.

Yes, I always try AeriaNow games.

A pretty good one, meaning I know my way around perfectly and can make friends with anyone I meet, as long as they are friendly also (to be realistic).

He/she helps the community, creates fun events, and enforces the rules. I have observed other GS' here and they make games much more fun to play in too!

This is the only position open, I did not get the position for Eden Eternal, this game is right up my alley. In addition, I would like to be like other famous GS'. Making games more enjoyable! Sure I have never been a GS, at least on Aeria games, but I know I have what it takes!

@ jordanhuynh1 Thank you for your interest in wanting to be a GS, however I must point out 2 things:

1. A GS is not a master of everything. We are player volunteers that use our time to make a game more enjoyable and assist the GM's in matters.

2. If you want to apply as a GS please fill out the proper form procedure.

C.I helped to organize an operation for sprite animations and i usually help people identify a event and how to finish it ^ - ^.
D.If the problem is either game related or in life i help who ever i can with the knowledge i have gained over the years. ^ - ^ like for example i help most of my guild mate who are low levels raise their levels as much as i can.

- I actually haven't gotten to do many community contributions in my time on Aeria forums. I joined back in late May, just in time for closed beta of EE. Other than talking in the shoutbox, I haven't gotten to contribute to the community, yet.
C. What experience do you have running/hosting organizational events?
- Back in my World of Warcraft days, I would hold Hide-N-Seek contests in Ironforge. I would give the first person to find me gold, or something of decent value. It was always a lot of fun. I would also have a trivia bot contest, with whoever knew the most WoW lore would get a prize. I haven't gotten to do much on a grand scale when it comes to contests, but I would come up with ideas.
D. What experience do you have helping people find solutions to their problems?
- I am the kind of person, that when my favorite game is down for maintenance or technical difficulties, I will search the game's wiki for information to brush up on my lore, or game mechanics, and I like to share what I learn with my guild mates, or people who ask for help in general chat. If I can, I'll whisper people to help them out when I see questions being asked that I know the answer to.
E. What experience do you have with our forum community?
- As I said earlier, a lot of my gaming forum experience has been with Blizzard/WoW, and not with Aeria, but I look forward to learning and creating a new experience here with the GA and Aeria forums.
F. Please give a short description of what you think a good GameSage does.
- Wow, really good question. Let's see, from what I've seen of Gamesages, in the shoutbox and in-game, a good GameSage is there to bridge the gap between GM and player, to answer questions, to be helpful, and to traffic concerns that could easily bog down any GM. I really believe GS are there to help the GMs from being too weighed down from the onslaught of questions, help, etc. that they are constantly bombarded with. Also, a good GS hosts events and contests in hopes of rallying the community and improving the friendship of the players on the forums and in-game.
G. Why do you want to be a GameSage for AeriaNow (and not another)?
- I must admit, I am rather confused on whether this thread is for AeriaNow in general, or Golden Age in particular. Regardless, I am wanting to be a GameSage so I can help my fellow players as we learn and play the new browser game Aeria is bringing us. I'm really excited to play, and will devote a lot of time to it
H. Do you plan to try the new AeriaNow games that come out?
- I always give AeriaNow games a try each time they come out, but I'm in particular really excited for GA. I look forward to any other browser games Aeria brings down the pipeline.
