[SGST] New message box for forums/shoutboxes

Message for current issues
During my time as a GS one of the most annoying things was having to answer the same question about 50 times a minute.
Player 1 enters the shoutbox "Is the item mall down?"
Gamesage "Yes"
Player 2 enters the shoutbox "is the item mall down?"
Gamesage" Yes" Facepalm

So I came up with this idea which could be implemented across all the games with a shoutbox/forum. In the section above the shoutbox there is currently a window to advertise other aeria games. Remove it and put a scrolling message window in which can be edited by the GM staff.
Go from this DDTank add

Perhaps with a bit more finesse. And have the message scrolling to catch peoples attention.

This would alleviate GS's, GM's, and regulars from having to repeatedly answer the same question regarding maintenance, item mall issues, web mall issues, DC'd, servers down etc.

Edit: Edited the title and added RT from original suggestion

Even if a pawn becomes a Queen, it is still just a playing piece. Metal Gear Solid 2

This is a good idea.It would reduce repetitive questions, similar to the Announcementbot we used to have. Instead of scrolling, I'd suggest leaving it as a simple text box with html or BBcode turned on so the staff can link to any threads they may have up with extended information.

Either that or write up an announcement kind of like:

Can't get into the game?
Check to see if the game is under maintenance or down. Check your email to see if you're under disciplinary action. If neither of these are the case, visit the technical issues forum or shoutbox.

On the flip side, players generally answer each others questions. So if you find yourself answering a lot of people asking about maintenance, sit back a minute and see if another player doesn't answer it. Chances are, they will. I'm not saying neglect GS duties cause you certainly shouldn't, but we were all helpful players long before helping players became GS responsibilities for us.

Well, that page is no longer correct. Sending to Info @ Aeriagames. Com will not work.
