The Kitchen Corner

post your fave recipes :)
Yes imk bored ^^

So i kinda share my fave recipes with you guys ^^

Feel free to post your fave recipes aswell btu make sure they dont use glutamate stuff (because thats really unhealthy!)

here comes the first one:

Gulasch
Ingredients:
-ca 500g Meat (pigmeat usualy but you can use mixed or only beef aswell)
-tamato pureé/paste
-2 green bell pepper
-2 small carrots (small carrots have stronger taste usualy)
-1 big onion
-1 Garlic clove
-2 vegetable stock cubes (use some without additives if possible)

Seasoning:
you can either buy spiceblend or mix it with the folowing to your likeing:
-bellpepper powder sweet (1 flat TableSpoon)
-black pepper powder (1 teaspoon)
-chilli powder (only if you want it spicy) (one knife point/pinch)
-Majoram flakes/shreded (no powder) (1 - 2 flat table spoons)

1.
You need a big pot.

2.
if the meat is not already cubed do so (sice around 2-3x2-3 cm each ^^)
- cut the onion in 1/4 and make big slices out of them

3.
use a bit oil to roast the onions gently (in that big pot!) then put them aside in a small bowl or something.
--now you roast the meat in the same pot. there will be meatjuice. ceep that in the pot and wait for it to vaporize. try to gently roast the meat from all sides so ots nice and brwonish roasted. Add the onions again. (You take them out cause you dont want them to burn right? ^^)

4.
mince the garlic and shred the carrots (big rough shreds)
make small cubes out of the bellpepper. (you can do that while the meat is roasting ^^)

5.
add the vegies some tomato paste the vegetable cubes and teh seasoning.

stirfry it a bit but not long just a small bit

6. add around 2 Liter of Water to the pot and stir it well so its good mixed.

now that whole thing need to cook for around 2 hours dont worry you can cook it on a middle flame so it wont burn and just look after it around every 30 minutes.

The longer it cooks the better it gets. Its absolutly okay if some of the meat falls apart while cooking Smile

If you have to less water just add some.
When its done it should be a saucy consistence ^^
or maybe like a thick stew.
(i cant explain it better ^^Wink

What works good with Gulash is potao dumplings or Spaetzle or noodles ^^
