My troops are not moving to the square I'm clicking I Lost troops I shouldn't have and almost lost my heroes was not good , I was only trying to move two squares.

What was the army's aggression and your lag set too?
Is it possible that your lag was too low so when your army was left to it's own devices after the lag, that it's high aggression made them stop moving to engage the enemy?

As regards to army control lag, if you move one cell at a time, this setting is negated.

I don't know if this is just me but I can't build my coal building without terraforming first. I don't have the resources to do this, and it is starting to become a major set back.

That is impossible. You must build resource extraction buildings where there is a sign. You will have 5 different signs to build five different resources extraction buildings at those points.

My point, my coal sign is right in a spot where terraforming is required.

Hmm... Have you at least tried to build the coal extraction building? Does your city have a seaport? A seaport city will have the option to build a shipyard (in the building menu). If you are still having problems, a quick fix would to be to restart the account (this is assuming that you just started and this is your first city) or just abandon the town and capture a different town.
