Thanks for the chrome extension, but for those complaining about having to find the code: after you open the inspection window, just click the image and the link is highlighted for you to click. But the extension just makes it easier.

The 700x200 is easy to go by but the 120 kb...some signatures ive seen people have trouble adjusting that me personally as a signature maker i dont but some people do...I say maybe 140kb would be abit more reasonable.

Kind of the same thing except a bit more work.

Haha Dynasty I just realised in your example, not sure if intentional or otherwise but funny all the same Smile

LordRapthorne your signature is over size at 134.61kb

Decided to check your avatar while at it and it is oversized at 206.17kb

Also got the bug and checked everyones. Blaze, sorry, much as I like your signature very much you failed on two counts, height and size

Dimensions 450 × 215 File size 168.22KB

And wait for it, yes you guessed it, your avatar is oversized at 126.63kb

I think everyone else is ok Smile

I could become obsessed! Shocked

I just want to throw it out there, for you or any other sig maker (i've done some myself): save final sig as a .jpeg file. The first one's i was making i saved as .png and they were DRASTICALLY larger file size.

a 250kb .png pic was around 40kb .jpeg file

just throwing that out there Smile

Yes have to be honest my signature is pretty basic, an old one that I just have not bothered changing , and for a little while I myself completely forgot about the size issue and with the text I used to have included it was slightly over the 120kb size. As I couldn't be bothered to change it or make a new signature just to stay within the size allowed I removed the text.

I am thinking about finally making a new one so I will bear that in mind. Wink

I have to say I don't go hunting for signatures that are slightly oversized. There are some obviously far too large signatures that even I would notice too big dimension wise. Sometimes appearance is deceptive though for the size. I bet if you started checking everyone on the forums you would find alot more fails on the avatar size as alot of players tend to forget about the limit of size for them.

We have a gs in LC who when she first started was somewhat zealous pointing out to players that their signatures were too big. Of course made me want to check hers and sure enough both her signature and avatar were way over the limits. She did after a short while change her signature size, so I assume someone pointed it out to her. However she left her avatar oversized for quite a long time after Wink People just forget about them.

Yes, I realised after looking at that screenie that mine were all oversized. The person who designed m sig saved them in very high quality format, but fear not, my avatar is now a very tidy jpg file that's well within limits and my sig has had some photoshop treatment to knock a few kb off Very Happy

I don't get it. That image is only 13kb.

Is the size limit 13kb or 120kb?

Yes the limit is 120kb. This example is pretty old, il make another one today and replace it.
