A bit of AGI and EVA that you might wanna know

Information of AGI and EVA
I just figured out something about AGI and EVA formulation, so I wanna share this to people who might wanna know about it.

What is AGI and EVA ?
AGI is a core stat raising EVA, parry, attack speed and cast speed.
EVA helps avoid attack. Therefore, the higher EVA you have, the less hit from monster (which might not be true).
1 AGI provides 1 EVA.

How to calculate AGI ?
AGI = (Base + Equipment) x (ClassBonus%+AGI%) + Other(i.e, title stat)
Example
Lv 27: Base AGI = 41
Thief: Class Bonus = 124%
AGI from all Equipment = 36
Marverick trait: AGI% = 10%
Title Gift of the Crystal: AGI = 5
AGI = (41 + 36) x [(124 + 10) / 100] + 5 = 108.18 or 108 (Round down)

How to calculate EVA ?
EVA = (EVAfromAGI + Equipment + Skill) x (100%+EVA%)
Example
EVAfromAGI = 108
EVA Equipment = 20
Thief: EVA% = 30%
Class talent: Art of Deception Lv12: EVA% = 12%
EVA = (108 + 20) x [(100 + 30 + 12) / 100] = 181.76

What do we know from EVA ?
Well, the main point of this info is here. How do we know that the EVA we have is enough to the stage we desire. People might want average 30% of total hits from monster to be missed. This is hard to know just only knowing the EVA points. However when we move cursor to that EVA number, it will pop-up a massage saying that "Raise EVA Chance of the same level monster to 20.40(example)".

What is the EVA Chance ?
Honestly, I still don't know yet. At first, I thought it should be % to avoid the hits, but it wasn't. When I try to let various levels of monsters hit me, it didn't seem to make sense with that EVA Chance number. Therefore, if anyone know this, please tell me. Although the true meaning of the EVA Chance number has not been found yet, its formulation is done.

How to calculate EVA Chance ?
EVA Chance = [(5 x EVA) / (5 + (2 x LV))] + 5
where LV = Character Level
Example
EVA = 181.76
LV = 27
EVA Chance = [(5 x 181.76) / (5 + (2 x 27))] + 5 = 20.4033 or 20.40(Round down)
This is interesting!!!!!!. If your LV is higher but the same EVA, EVA Chance is reduced. That means to maintain this same EVA Chance number or higher, we have to raise more the EVA.

What if we want to maintain the EVA Chance to 30, what the EVA do we need ?
Just recalculate the equation above with constant EVA Chance and find the EVA. This is it to maintain 30 EVA Chance.
LV : EVA
05 : 75
10 : 125
15 : 175
20 : 225
25 : 275
30 : 325
35 : 375
40 : 425
45 : 475
50 : 525

Extremely informative! These are things I definitely would not have been able to figure out testing EVA %s on my singular character.

Also, just a speculation, I believe EVA IS the percentage with which you have the chance to dodge attacks, but the reason you may not be dodging attacks so much is because it has to first measure up against enemy Accuracy.

So for example (by no means is this meant to be correct, just an example), if you have an EVA rate of 47%, but the monster you're fighting has an Accuracy rate of 12%, then your REAL chance to dodge falls to 35%. Of course, we don't know monster Accuracy values, but I strongly believe there is a huge relation between EVA and ACC.

Thank you for the work you've put into this! I see now that I was way off with my original EVA formula calculations. Time to do some more work with it!

You should try testing in a duel, that way you know ACC of attacker and EVA.

Thanks again for making this post =)

I still get hit fairly often when buffed to 75% by other players. For monsters, at 36%, I still get hit more often than it should have been.

I turned this awesome thread into a spreadsheet:

Turned off editing because I'm afraid someone would mess with it, but I put the formulas I used very clearly above the columns that used them if you want to create your own and play around.

I would like to point out that the accuracy vs evasion idea was just pure speculation on my part. I have no evidence to back it up and haven't tested it. Given the other similarities in game mechanics so far--the 1:1 rations for luck/accuracy, agi/evasion, str/block rate all come to mind here, among other things like crafting, armor sets, etc--I wouldn't be surprised to see it, though. If anyone else wants to test it, duels and PVP [when released] would be the ideal methods here. Sorry, but numbers aren't really my thing.

I rejoin unlucky : i think accuracy just down evasion, it will be the best explication to the amount showed when u select "accuracy"
and if more lvl u get more % amount down, u need more accuracy to hit, more eva to dodge and this variable ratio it's maybe true in pvp :

if per exemple 10eva = 0,9% for lvl 10, 10 accuracy is 0,8% for lvl 10
one player 100 eva (9%eva), 100 accuracy (8%acc)
one another player 110 eva (9,9%eva), 110 accuracy (8,8%acc)

second player final dodge % = eva of second player % - accuracy of the first player = 9.9%-8% = 1,9%
then first player final hit % = 98,1%
first player final dodge % = 9%- 8,8% = 0.2%
then second player final hit % = 99,8%

An other exemple (true this time, for lvl 50)
my char got 438,75 eva (25.89%), 434,40 accuracy (21,69%)
for the exemple i take one char with my eva x2(877,50 / 51,78%), and 50% of my accuracy (217,20 / 10,845%)

My final dodge% = my dodge% - opponent acc % = 25,89% - 10,845% = 15,045%
then my opponent hit % = 100% - 15, 045% = ~85%
My opponent dodge% = his dodge% - my accuracy % = 51,78% - 21,69% = 30%
then my final hit% = 100%- 30% = 70%

But if i'm lvl 50, and he got lvl 60 and lvl 60 give him 877,50 eva => 40% eva instead of 51,78% for lvl 50 (for exemple) and 217,20 acc => 6% acc instead of 10,845% for lvl 50 (for exemple again)
i will hit more, and dodge more if he stay with same stat when lvl up 60 (anormal), or same things if he get stats for hold his %EVA/ACC (anormal too) then i think i will get the % of eva/acc gift for his lvl 60 in a pvp situation("damage reduction" like system), then i will miss more, and dodge less cuz he got more stats after lvl up cuz he can hold this eva/acc% rates but me not, i will be considered like lvl 60 and get less hit/eva% rates per point
it explain why when u kill lower mobs u miss less and hit often too Wink

I think it's the eden eternal secret.
